JULIA'S POV

"And what's the past tense of become?", I asked my students.

A couple of students raised their hands after a few moments. I looked around the class and decided to choose somebody who hasn't answered yet.

"Became", he answered.

"That's right!", I said, "Ok, what's the past-", my words were cut off by the loud sound of the school bell ringing.

As everyone got up, I started to remind them of the homework and then I greeted them goodbye.

As I was arranging my folders, I noticed that someone was still in the room. I looked at their face and it's was Joy.

Oh shit.

I opened my mouth but Joy spoke before me, "I-um- Miss Havis, I won't tell anyone about what happened"

"Um- no! I mean- nothing happened! We were just talking! We- we didn't do anything!", I said, panicking.

"It's fine, Miss Havis, I won't tell anyone about it either way", she said now confidently with a slight smirk on her face.

Oh fuck, I just told her the truth! Fuck my stupid mouth!

I sighed and thanked her since that was the only thing that I could've said.

JOY'S POV

I know that I just told Miss Havis that I won't tell anyone but I didn't say that I wouldn't tell my best friend.

After our conversation, I ran down the stairs
to go meet with Melanie who was waiting for me in the hall.

I spotted a lot of friends going down so I greeted them and talked to them a bit before going.

When I finally finished the set of stairs I went to stand in the middle of the hall trying to spot my friend. When I saw her, I ran towards her and threw my arms around her and hugged her tightly.

"Hi!", I said.

"Hey!", she said.

I looked around then took Melanie's hand in mine and lead her to a quieter corner.

"What?", she said as I dragged her.

"I have exciting news!", I said/shouted as we sat down on one of the benches nearby.

"What? What happened?", she said, confused.

"I went to class early today to clear something with Miss Havis, right?", I asked. "Yes, you did", she nodded her head.

"Well when I entered, I saw her nearly kissing with Mr. Roberts!", I squealed. Melanie got up and started shouting nonsense while jumping. I got up and started jumping with her.

After a while we both stopped because of the attention we were getting from others.

"What did you do? Oh my god, did you see them kiss?!", she said as we sat back down, panting.

"No, no, Miss Havis was against the wall and Mr. Roberts was on top of her and they were talking but they were close!", I said. "I kinda didn't see them at first but then I looked and there were they and I didn't know what to do so I just said that I am sorry and ran out", I said.

"Oh my god, what did you do next? You had with her right now, right?", she asked.

"Yes, I had and I went to her in the end of the lesson and I told her that I won't tell anyone about what happened and then she started to um- you know, not say words correctly and- blabbered, yeah she blabbered!", I said.

Melanie squealed at my words again, "Ahhh! That means that they were about to do something!"

"That means that they are something!", I added and both of us squealed and jumped happily until someone told us to stop making noise.

"Ok, so, what did you do in Maths?", I asked after a moment.

"Ehh, the usual, we just solved some mathematical problems, nothing new", she answered.

I sighed and nodded at her words and then I looked at the clock that hung on the wall and the break was nearly over, "Hey, would you like to see whether our lessons are cancelled?, I asked her.

She nodded and followed me up the stairs. We arrived there and looked at the paper that was hung on the notice board.

"My last period is cancelled!", I heard my friend shout beside me as she jumped happily. I just laughed at her actions.

"Oh? You will end early?", a voice came from behind us. Melanie and I looked at who was talking, "let's meet then, after school and talk", the girl said confidently and then left us shocked and confused.
