As Hermione waited alone in the cold and dark confines of Malfoy Manor, a sense of apprehension gnawed at her. The chilling atmosphere of the manor seemed to seep into her bones, amplifying her fear and discomfort. With each passing moment of solitude, her anxiety only grew, and she couldn't shake the feeling of being trapped in a nightmare. The absence of Draco, her captor, only intensified her sense of vulnerability and isolation. Every creak of the floorboards and whisper of the wind sent shivers down her spine, leaving her feeling small and powerless in the face of the unknown. Despite her efforts to stay strong, a deep-seated dread lingered in her heart, casting a shadow over her thoughts and filling her with a profound sense of unease.

Draco's P.O.V:

It was 9:15 a.m., and I found myself lying on my bed, lost in thought until I remembered that the Mudblood was likely hungry. Reluctantly, I rose to take her some food.

Entering her room, I found her still lying in bed. As she stirred, she quickly sat up.

"Draco," she called out.

"The food," I replied curtly.

"It's cold, Draco," she complained.

"What do you want now, Mudblood?" I asked, my patience wearing thin.

"Please, Draco... I want a cover," she pleaded.

"There are no covers here, Granger," I retorted.

"Please, Draco. Please," she persisted.

"Fine, just be quiet," I relented, fetching a cover for her. She smiled her thanks as she wrapped it around herself.

As I turned to leave, she spoke again. "Draco... did you think about what I said?"

"No. I didn't. And I won't," I replied firmly.

"Draco... please let me go," she implored.

I turned back to face her. "I knew you'd say that."

"Why don't we escape together?" she suggested, her voice tinged with desperation.

"Are you insane, Mudblood? Me and you?" I scoffed.

"Yes, let's escape. Join us. We'll kill Voldemort, and life will return to normal. You can start a new life without Death Eaters and murderers," she pleaded earnestly.

"Granger, your dreams are truly amusing," I remarked sarcastically.

"Well, Malfoy, I'm not laughing now," she shot back. "Are you scared of Voldemort?" she challenged.

"What? Shut up, Granger," I snapped.

"Your parents? Are you scared for them?" she pressed on.

"You don't understand anything. I'm a Malfoy, okay? My destiny is to be a Death Eater and to help Voldemort. I'm a Slytherin," I declared.

"Your destiny?" she scoffed. "You're really stupid, Draco. Can't you come up with better excuses than 'destiny'?"

"No, you're really starting to bother me, Mudblood," I retorted.

"Leave, Malfoy. Just take the dish and go," she ordered.

"Are you firing me, Granger?" I teased.

"I am," she confirmed.

"That's my house. I'll do what I want," I declared, a smirk playing on my lips.

"Malfoy..." she began, but I cut her off.

"You know what? I'll stay here for today, actually," I decided.

"No," she protested.

"Oh, yes. Kick me out then. I'll sleep here, and I'll take that cover," I declared, pointing to the one I had brought her earlier.

"But, Malfoy, you have plenty of covers," she argued.

"Yeah, but I really liked that one," I admitted.

"Ugh, take it. It's not cold anyway," she relented, her irritation evident.

"Really? Then why were you begging me to bring you a cover this morning?" I teased.

"It was cold in the morning, but now it's not," she explained, her smirk returning.

I laughed to myself. I was going to make her life a living hell. That's what I was thinking about.

Hermione's P.O.V:

Ugh, that ferret. I hate him. He knows it's freezing, and yet he refuses to do anything about it. I'll probably freeze to death in this room. Stupid Malfoy.
