Chapter 22.1: The truth

Annika's POV

We're finally here at Enchanted Kingdom. Hindi ko mapigilan yung excitement ko kasi ang tagal ko ng niyayaya yung mga friends ko na samahan ako dito pero sobrang busy nila.

Buti na nga lang nagkaroon din ako ng time na makapunta dito, with Donny pa.

There are some people na nakakakilala sa kanya and nagpapa-picture kasama siya so lumalayo ako kapag may lumalapit sa kanya.

I'm just smiling everytime na may magpapa-picture sa kanya. I can't believe na few years ago, ganyan din ako. I'm always present sa mga meet and greets, concerts, and events niya pero isang beses lang ako nagkaroon ng chance na makapagpa-picture sa kanya. Nung 19th Birthday niya yun, it's my first time meeting him personally and that's the last time that we had a picture din. I never thought that seeing him personally will make a huge impact in my life so I decided to start writing letters for him.

I can still remember my first actual letter for him...

Dearest D,

It's been a month since your meet and greet. I don't know if you saw my tweet (I guess not, but yeah), I said that I'm having a hard time thinking if I should go or not. But I actually did. And it was one of the happiest days in my life. It feels surreal. I met you, finally. I had a picture with you, at last. You hugged me. And you have NO idea how fast my heart races when I saw you. I'm so speechless when I saw you standing right in front of me. I can still remember what you said, "Thank you for coming and thank you for lining up ha". I didn't answer because all I did is stare at your face and smile secretly. Oh how I wish to turn back time and tell you everything that I wanted to say. But I can't, so I'll just write it here... No, Donny, thank you for giving us the chance to finally meet you. Thank you for always giving your best for us. I know how hard you try to notice everyone on twitter, but you don't have superpowers so I understand. And lastly, thank you for making us happy and inspired. I can't wait to see you again, soon maybe?

I don't know why pero sobrang kuntento na ako kapag nabibigay ko yung letters and gifts ko para sa kanya. Everytime na nakikita ko siya, never na akong nag-ask na magpa-picture kasama siya.

I actually had a hard time on sending my letters for him. Hindi ko naman kasi siya madalas nalalapitan. One time I just ask the post office personndl if it is possible to deliver my letters for someone kahit na yung village lang yung alam ko, they said na ita-try daw nila. Good thing, pumayag naman daw yung guard na iwan na lang sa kanya tapos siya na lang daw magbibigay. I don't know kung natanggap niya ba lahat or hindi. But one thing's for sure, nabigay ko yung last letter ko sa kanya. Nafi-feel ko eh.

I never asked Hannah for their address kasi privacy na nila yun, she also knows na I'm not the loud type of fangirl i'm more on the chill type of fangirl and it's also the reason why our friendship started. One time, nakita niya ako sa get together ni Donny with his fans and I was the only one na sobrang chill and tahimik so she approached me.

Hindi ko talaga ma-explain yung feeling pero I'm really glad na unti-unti ng natutupad yung prayers ko.

"Sorry for making you wait. Your cheeks are turning red na, wear my cap."

He placed his cap sa ulo ko.

"Paano ka?"

"It's fine. Let's go na!"
