Valoria tossed on her bed once again, letting out a deep huff before pulling out her phone to check the time. Her eyes took a moment to adjust to the screen, and the brunette let out another huff as she read the time as 2:07 AM.

She knew she should be asleep, after all, she had a big project planned for tomorrow morning, yet her mind had been racing. Valoria pulled up her Instagram feed, deciding that scrolling through the app would put her to sleep. The brunette aimlessly liked a few photos, letting out a small yawn.

Valoria would be lying if she said she wasn't tired. She was exhausted mentally, however her mind wouldn't allow her to sleep. Just as she was about to call it a night, her phone vibrated with a phone call.

"Joe, its 2 am."

"Why are you awake?" His voice came out low, almost whisper like. Valoria's held the same tone as she responded, "I can't sleep, I've been trying for two hours."

"Is there a specific reason?"

The brunette sighed, sitting up and bringing her knees up to her chest. "My mind has been busy I guess. This call isn't helping much."

Joe let out a low chuckle, "Here I was thinking I was helping."

Valoria remained silent, although a tender smile as she allowed her mind to run again. She had been overthinking multiple things, and it all sparked from the conversation she had with Natalia almost two weeks ago.

"Hey, can we do something?" Joe's voice broke her out of her thoughts, and the brunette furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?"

"Just be ready to leave when I text you." Although Valoria couldn't see Joe, she could sense the smile that played on his lips. Although tired, the girl agreed anyway and got ready after hanging up on Joe.

She swapped out her oversized shirt for an oversized jumper, slipping on knee high socks and her sneakers. Valoria was well aware that she didn't look her best, however she knew Joe wouldn't care and knew that at 2 AM the pair were never planning to go anywhere far.

She sat back down on her bed once she finished, letting out a sigh. One of the reasons Valoria was up this late was because of Joe, and yet here she was escaping out in the middle of the night with him. She rested her head against her knees, a deep breath escaping her lips.

Before Natalia mentioned it, Valoria never saw Joe as anything more than a friend. Now, weeks later, Valoria could barely keep her heart in check when Joe was nearby. Every subtle touch, every compliment, caused the brunette's heart to leap out of her chest. She knew she was falling for Joe Keery, but her heart also knew that she would never have him.

When Valoria's phone buzzed, she managed to sneak out of her home without disrupting the rest of her family and make her way to Joe's car. He held a bright grin as she situated herself in the passenger's seat, buckling herself up.

Once she finished, she turned to the boy beside her with a small grin. "So, are you planning to murder me?"

Joe let out a chuckle, putting the car into drive and pulling away from her house. "No, just want to take you somewhere I go to clear my head."

"Where is that exactly?" She asked, positioning herself so she could study Joe as his gaze remained on the road.

"If I tell you, that'll ruin the surprise."

Valoria pouted slightly, letting out a huff. "I deserve a hint at least."

Joe stayed silent for a moment, giving Valoria a quick glance before turning back to the road, a smile on his lips. "It's really cliche. That's my hint."
