Recent allegations point towards alcoholism in Wolfhard's past?
Two weeks after the much anticipated first season of Stranger Things dropped on Netflix, Valoria Wolfhard, former Disney star and sister to Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, has been outed as a former and still struggling alcoholic.
In a length Youtube video titled 'We Don't Talk Anymore', Youtube star and silver screen actress, Giovanna Martinez explains the story of her and Valoria's friendship and why they fell out.
"When Val and I became friends, she was in a rough patch. She would text me drunk at night almost every night till she got the help she needed. Mind you, we've been friends since I was 17. She was just barely 18 at the time." Martinez states, continuing on to say, "She drank every night and blamed it on personal life issues, however I knew that she just wasn't stable mentally. She needed help and she got it, but only by force."
Martinez also explains the reason behind their fallout, stating that Valoria abandoned Giovanna after being introduced to the Stranger Things cast.
"Once Finn got busy with the show, she began disappearing. She was constantly with the cast working and later on I became a side thing to her. I was sick of it. I was afraid if I dropped her she would go back to her old ways, but clearly she's sober now, or at least I hope so."
