After a long, awkward silence. We pulled into Percy's driveway. Annabeth put her car in park and turned the ignition off, taking the keys out. Then she faced me. "Jeez you look like your heart just got broken."

Pang. That was a bullet to the heart because yes, Annabeth, my heart did just get broken. "Lighten up. I can't wait for you to meet him." She said.

I faked a smile and got out of the car.

Annabeth and I️ walked to the front door not saying a word. She knocked on the door and out came Percy.

He looked...not ugly. Dressed in nice jeans, converse, and a baseball tee. His "usually unruly hair" as Annabeth told me was combed nicely. His green eyes sparkled and his white teeth shone.

Annabeth instantly wrapped her arms around his neck and then they kissed.

I️ could feel rage seeping into me and fill me up. "Don't do something you'll regret." I️ told myself.

Meanwhile Percy and Annabeth intertwined fingers and turned to go inside. "Come on Pipes." Annabeth said as she and Percy turned around and walked right in.

"Go, Piper."

"No, leave."

"Go, if you leave you'll only upset Annabeth."

"Leave, otherwise you'll be sad and miserable the whole time."

"Go."

"Leave."

"Go."

"LEAVE."

So I️ left. I️ turned around and ran. I️ didn't stop, didn't turn around. I️ closed my eyes and let the tears fall from my face."

My legs feeling excruciating pain, but I️ kept running. All that was going through my mind was images of her and Percy hugging, kissing, holding hands.

That could've been us but it's not. It never will be.

I️ didn't think about anything else, didn't open my eyes, so that's when out of nowhere I️ got hit by a car.

The impact seemed numb and I️ stared blankly down at my arm to see that it was broken for sure.

My vision seemed to blur as I️ watched someone get out of their car, hands in their hair, yelling to someone in the other seat.

I️ got up, not even thinking about what to do. "We need to go to a hospital Piper."

"No, we need to get as far away from Annabeth as possible."

At the thought of Annabeth I️ quickly glanced behind me to see Annabeth running down the street. Percy in close pursuit behind her.

Without even thinking I️ kept running. It took an effort because of the pain of my broken arm, the ache in my legs, the blurring of my vision from the pain.

But it seemed so numb. Like I️ wasn't even in my body. I️ had left my body and was watching it from a different point of view.

I️ had reached my neighborhood and started to run towards my house, but a great wave of pain went through my body and I️ fell, my vision darkening.

I️ rolled over and looked at the sky. So beautiful.

Before I️ blacked out I️ thought about all the recent events and thought.

"Come on Piper. It's just a stupid crush."
