(Haruhi x Reader)

You sighed softly as you and Haruhi sat on the last train of the night, heading home. You watched as the rain fell onto the window pane. Haruhi was busy taking a short nap before reaching home. Both of you spent the day shopping together and simply hanging out.

Trying to figure out a way to tell her, a way to tell her you're returning home to (country). You felt sadden about the whole thing, but you couldn't stay much longer, your family was becoming sicker and they needed you. What could you do, let them die?

To brighten your train of thoughts, you looked back on the memories you made here in Japan. The friends you made, the fun you had, the drama. Everything was gone, you were now leaving for home, for good. You didn't have the money to return to Japan, but you couldn't help but hope, one day you'll be able to see them again.

Tokyo was a beautiful city, Japan was a beautiful country. Everything was beautiful here, you couldn't bear to leave, but you had to. Your frown withheld on your face, a small tear started down your face. The idea of leaving was painful, the things you were leaving behind. You couldn't bear it, not once.

For the whole day, you avoid making eye contact with her, you knew she would know something was wrong. But how could you tell your best friend you were leaving? How could you tell someone you loved the most, you were leaving for good?

Your heart pained as you sat looking down at your lap, your hands flat on your lap. Tears splashed onto your hands, a sad smile lingered on your face. Your face fell forward as you allowed tears to escape.

Working so hard to make it here to Japan to go back home later. The late hours you had to work to save the money to be here wasted, you wanted to spend your life here. But your dreams were falling shortly. Maybe Haruhi would understand it all.

You felt someone tap your shoulder, sitting up you see Haruhi looking at you. She wore a sad look on her face, "You don't have to tell me, I already know." She said softly. You sniffled softly and rubbed your nose.

"I love you Haruhi." You mumbled.

"I know." She answered as she gave you a loving side hug.

"You'll be back soon, I promise." She continued.

"promise?"

"promise."
