Chapter eight (Eclipse)

Eclipse ruffled her wings as Shadowhorn talked and talked. Well this is boring. Eclipse thought. Eclipse settled her eyes on the group, three nightwings, two seawings, one rainwing, and one Icewing. Keo's scales were silent, just a normal pinkish red. Eclipse looked up slowly, scanning for any skywing guards.

"Stop!" Shadowhorn shouted, scaring Eclipse. She watched as he hovered over a cliff, he scanned the forest. "Go." he flicked his tail and then flinched in pain. Wow, that must of hurt. But it definitely doesn't look as bad as Blackstar's scars. Eclipse thought, she passed him and glided down the cliff that they stopped at. She carefully dropped down at the forest floor and looked up, everyone started gliding down as well. Eclipse rested her wings and watched one by one as the odd group landed. Eclipse stared at Shadowhorn's tail.

"What are you looking at my tail for?" Shadowhorn asked, swinging his tail back and forth. Eclipse took a deep breath.

"You need a animus to fix that mangled tail of yours." Eclipse finally said.

"No I don't..." Shadowhorn replied. "plus, where are we going to find one?" Eclipse smiled slightly.

"Oh I don't know maybe we can just call for one." Eclipse said sarcastically.

"Eclipse stop lying." Keo said, walking over by Shadowhorn's side.

"Wait, she was lying?" Shadowhorn said.

"Yes, she was, Blackstar and her are animuses." Keo answered.

Thanks for letting the scavenger out of the bag. Eclipse thought as she rolled her eyes.

Shadowhorn stared at her in amazement. A shape in the clouds moved back and forth. the clouds

"Guys..." Eclipse started, pointing at the clouds. Suddenly the group heard yelling, and hissing. "Quick everyone hide!" Eclipse shouted. Tidalwave and Sapphire dove into a river that was next to them, Keo camouflaged himself, Shadowhorn dove into a crystal cave and covered himself in mud so it looked like he was just another crystal, and Stormgrazer,and Eclipse leaped into the shadows, while Blackstar just stood in the cave upside down acting casual. The whole group disappearing from sight. Eclipse looked up as tons of skywing guards landed, searching everywhere. Oh no, did they notice we were gone so fast?

"Where is she? That fire scaled dragonet should be here!" A guard barked in the distance.

"Well we aren't going to find her if you keep on shouting like that!" Another guard snapped. Another fire scaled skywing? Where? Eclipse thought. She read Blackstar's mind and found out that Blackstar thought this: Oh! Apocalypse! I knew she would join our party! I haven't seen her in awhile. Eclipse heard Blackstar think. Soon the guards left after poking around, Eclipse heard crackling. Eclipse muscles tensed as a warm heat passed her.

"Wow, that was close." a red dragonet whispered as Eclipse watched her slowly sit down, the grass darkening before her and crumpled into a pile of ash. Eclipse's tail twitched as she took a step forward. The red dragonet whipped around, facing Eclipse. "Who? Where did you come from?" The dragonet cried out, Eclipse quickly lunged forward. I enchant myself and others in my group to not be harmed by fire scales. Eclipse thought, the magic quickly spreading through her body. She felt tiredness spreading through her body."No don't touch-" the dragonet half yelled as Eclipse covered the her mouth.

Eclipse listened for a second, eyeing the sky just incase the guards heard the commotion. Eclipse slowly looked down as she saw the dragonet that was a bit older than Tidalwave's age. Eclipse recoiled her claws from the dragonet's snout.

"Your... Not... Burned, I mean, how? Wait, are... You... an animus??" The dragonet squeaked. Eclipse smiled a little bit.

"It's ok, we aren't going to hurt you." Eclipse replied. In the corner of her eye she watched as everyone slowly got out of their hiding places but Blackstar was still upside down directly above The fire scales dragonet. They hesitated as they circled her.

"Eclipse!" Blackstar roared in frustration.

"What?" "I enchanted all of us." Eclipse snapped back.

"Oh mackerel you don't need to enchant me to be immune to something I'm already immune to !" yelled Blackstar in his I-so-wish-you-did-anything-but-that-voice.

"Wait your Blackstar??" Said Apocalypse in confusion.

"Yes-" Replied Blackstar but before he could finish Apocalypse lunged at Blackstar and hugged him hard.

"Blackstar it's been soooo long since I've seen you but you've gotten way more scary." cried Apocalypse.

"Uhh... this is awkward..." said Keo as Apocalypse let go from hugging Blackstar. Eclipse laughed as Apocalypse let go and started randomly talking very fast.
