Chapter eleven (Keo)

Keo turned, looking at his smoking teammate. Can't believe I can touch her. Eclipse probably enchanted me again. Thought Keo. He quickly saw her glance at him and he looked away. They started trudging along, looking left and right at the trees. Keo swooped up into the trees, glad to be out of the heavy chains the scavengers put on him. How did they even get such heavy chains? Keo thought, dodging branches. He stopped flying and started just jumping on the branches, like normally running. He jumped, and flew up.
"WHEE!" Keo shouted like a dragonet (even though he was a dragonet). He did a spin and hovered in the air. He eyed the forest. He saw so many green trees, he peered through the branches until he saw something blue moving. Sapphire! Keo thought. He took a deep breath and started to dive, he stopped. He sniffed again. He smelled smoke! Could that be Apocalypse? Keo thought worriedly.

"KEO!" He heard Eclipse shout in fear. He dived as he saw the others fly out of the forest.

"There is smoke!" Shadowhorn yelled.

"This way!" Stormgrazer shouted, flying towards the smell. Keo looked ahead, he saw smoke slowly rise out of the trees and he heard dragons yelling. He couldn't see much because of the fog. He quickly flew in front.

"I think this is the way to the mudwing kingdom!" Blackstar shouted. Stormgrazer swooped up, flying way faster than everyone. Apocalypse was catching up, being the Skywing that she is. she looked forward, it looked like the smoke had gotten thicker.

"Stay together!" Sapphire shouted, Keo looked back, and smashed into a black rock. The shouts of terror were more loud now. He looked up hazily, he touched the surface he smashed into. He felt around, it looked like... SCALES! Keo thought. HUGE SCALES! He backed up, looking up, the rock was very tall. Darkstalker! A brown dragon flew past him, and flew quickly up. The brown dragon soon disappeared from sight.

"EVERYONE BACK!" Keo yelled, he quickly flew back. The fog disappeared, showing Darkstalker halfway destroying a mudwing village. Keo gasped, Darkstalker easily wiped out two huge buildings.

"Huh just the way I last saw him when I was younger." Blackstar in awe. Everybody looked at Blackstar in surprise.

"YOU KNEW HIM BACK THEN!!" Yelled Sapphire in her I'm-so-scared-of-you-so-get-away-right-now voice as she backed up.

"What..." murmured Blackstar."...I just knew him."

"What did you say?" Shadowhorn asked curiously.

"Just nothing important right now." Blackstar susserated avoiding to look at anyone. Keo watched as Darkstalker smashed a whole cave.

"Guys we should seriously do something about this." Keo said worriedly.

"Keo is right!" Eclipse suddenly shouted, surprising everyone. She gave a hard stare at everyone. "We need to take care of him or the mudwings fast,I could use my animus power." Keo shivered. Ever since he found out that Eclipse made sure she wouldn't lose anything Keo didn't like the fact that she was very powerful now, and sometimes he couldn't look at her without seeing her get consumed by power like Darkstalker did.

"We need to get the mudwings out of here," Tidalwave ordered, "We can't take care of Darkstalker right now." Keo nodded his head in agreement. Blackstar huffed.

"Well we need a plan how we are going to take down Darkstalker." Blackstar said. Shadowhorn took a step forward,

"I"ll freeze Darkstalkers claws to slow him down from destroying things, at least for a while." Shadowhorn said. Good thinking Shadowhorn. Keo thought.
