Chapter twenty-three (Sapphire)

Sapphire opened her eyes, she jerked her head up and looked around, Tidalwave and Shadowhorn were asleep, her surroundings were a Icewing dungeon. The rest of her winglet was nowhere to be seen. Sapphire scratched the ice, not even a dent was made. The last thing Sapphire remembered was Darkstalker knocking out all of them, Sapphire slowly got up and walked over to Tidalwave and shook him rapidly. Tidalwave turned around.
"Mmmhhhhh. Five more minutes mommy, I don't need to go to the wingery today. Tidalwave mumbled, Sapphire shook him more rapidly. Tidalwave's tail hit her back, she toppled over. Grrrrrr. Sapphire bared her teeth at him. Sapphire walked up to him and slapped him. Tidalwave woke up.

"OW!" He screeched. He looked up at her with annoyance and looked around. Tidalwave shoved Sapphire off of him and looked around the cell. "What the... Where are we?" Sapphire rolled her eyes. A Icewing dungeon, duh. She thought. Tidalwave ran around and suddenly ran over to Shadowhorn's body and shook it exactly like Sapphire did to him. Shadowhorn didn't respond, this time they both shook him nothing happened. Sapphire grew worried and she could see Tidalwave was too. "Check his pulse!" Sapphire yelled. Tidalwave put one claw behind Shadowhorns neck. "He's okay it seems he's breathing" Tidalwave responded. They both breathed a sigh of relief. Sapphire put her talon on a ice block, for some reason it shook. She pulled the ice block out of the wall and saw a blue gem. She remembered seeing it in one of Tidalwaves scrolls. "TIDALWAVE I FOUND A... UH... DREAMVISITOR!". She yelled. Tidalwave whipped around to face her. Tidalwave looked at her.

"We can look into his dreams!" Tidalwave said excited. Sapphire thought of Shadowhorn, everything around her faded out, and a new scene began. Sapphire was standing in the Ice Kingdom, all the dragons around her were facing one direction, they had a sneer on their faces. Sapphire looked at where they were looking and she saw Shadowhorn backed up against a wall, shivering. Beside him a figure shimmered, Sapphire dove for cover as the figure cleared up. The figure was a nightwing, Sapphire noticed it was Darkstalker. Darkstalker grinned and looked at Shadowhorn.

"Out of all your friends, you will die first." Darkstalker said evilly. Shadowhorn shuddered as Darkstalker's body vanished. Sapphire gasped as she broke out of the dream. The Ice dungeon shimmered into view as Sapphire fell back. Tidalwave broke her fall.
"SAPPHIRE! WHAT HAPPENED?" Tidalwave said. Sapphire looked up at him.

"Shadowhorn... He.... Dark... stalker ... Told him he will die..." Sapphire said sadly. He would never do that! OR would he???

Tidalwave dumped her and rushed over to Shadowhorn and slapped him.

"WAKE UP!" Tidalwave yelled. Shadowhorn bolted awake, and headbutted Tidalwave. The two boys shouted OW! And rubbed their heads. Wow even in a time like this they act stupid. Sapphire thought, the thought made her smirk. Shadowhorn opened his eyes and looked around.

"WHERE ARE WE?!" Shadowhorn said, jolting up. Tidalwave groaned and rubbed his head. That's my brother. Sapphire thought. Since Tidalwave was groaning and couldn't respond Sapphire answered.

"We are in the Icewing dungeon." Sapphire said. Shadowhorn groaned, clearly upset. Sapphire inspected him. Even with his dream Shadowhorn is still acting calm. Sapphire thought. Sapphire looked at him. In the corner of her eye Tidalwave started rolling around, groaning. Sapphire ignored him. Shadowhorn looked at her.

"The Icewing dungeon is enchanted, only a animus or a dragon that got the Queen's permission can open the cell." Sapphire looked at him. A few seconds went by, Sapphireś blood boiled with fury.

"WHAT?" Sapphire yelled, she slapped Shadowhorn out of pure anger. Shadowhorn fell back.

"OH MY MOONS SORRY!" Sapphire told him. Shadowhorn started rolling around with Tidalwave. It sounded like a corus. Ow ow ow ow ow. Shadowhorn would say. Tidalwave would say back OW OW OW ow ow. Sapphire glared at them they finally stopped. Tidalwave rubbed his head until his scales were raw and Shadowhorn rubbed his snout until it had a red streak on it. Sapphire apologized. They just sat there dazed, and didn't say anything. Sapphire sat down and looked longingly outside of the cell. Sapphire rested her head on her talon and laid down. Sapphire closed her eyes. Somebody come. Anyone come. Sapphire thought.
