Chapter twelve (Stormgrazer)

Stormgrazer slowly looked up, gazing at the huge dragon. Lightning & leopards!, he is so much bigger up close! Well. Obviously he's only three times bigger than a normal dragon. Stormgrazer thought. He flew back a little. How are we going to STOP that big of a dragon? He sat on a ledge next to Eclipse.

"What are you thinking?" Stormgrazer asked.

"I don't know, I'm thinking of enchanted Darkstalker so I can read his mind, but then me and him would know each other's thoughts and that would be creepy." Eclipse answered, pacing. "But I do know that we need to act soon before this whole village is destroyed." Stormgrazer nodded,

"He's got a soft heart bus strong scales. He's not that big if you really think about it."Stormgrazer said and then took off and started to fly around Darkstalker. Oh look at those huge wings... Stormgrazer thought. Wait, he could flap his wings and a whole hut or two would be destroyed! Stormgrazer thought. He spiraled down to Eclipse, and hovered.

"His wings need to be hurt so he can't fly!" Stormgrazer said quickly. Eclipse looked at him. "So he can't destroy the village in a few swings of his wings." He added.

"No! We shouldn't do that, let me talk to him. We are friends and he knows me. I can tell him to stop." Blackstar said, scaring Stormgrazer a little.

"Yeah, let Blackstar do that. Then if Darkstalker can't be changed then we, you know, uh..." Keo said trying to think of an idea.

"Kill him." Apocalypse finished, flying down.

"Don't! He only want's to be with his family! We need to stop and get him to stop fighting us!" Stormgrazer yelled.

Let's hope we can do that. Stormgrazer thought. He sat down, and looked at Blackstar, he had sadness in his eyes.

"Ok, go do it." Shadowhorn said, looking like quite relieved.

"I will, and I will change his mind." Blackstar said, lifting up his wings, and took off. Stormgrazer shuffled his feet. He hoped Blackstar could get close enough.

"Well what do we do till then?" Sapphire said, landing with Tidalwave.

"As much as I trust Blackstar, we should get ready for battle, from knowing the stories of Darkstalker. Maybe he will ignore Blackstar." Eclipse ordered, looking up at Darkstalker.

Stormgrazer browsed Eclipse's mind and found out what she was hiding Sky fire She thought.

"We should think of Blackstar's weaknesses, but until then here is some protection." Eclipse said, she nodded to Tidalwave and Sapphire. "I think I already know them, the neck and His underside. You would be very lucky if you managed to evan touch him before he would knock you back." Stormgrazer said.Stormgrazer watched as both Tidalwave and Sapphire plucked out a little rock for their own uses. "These are rocks that can protect mindreading." Eclipse said. Sky fire! Stormgrazer thought. Tidalwave passed the rocks around, and handed out bags with them. "Once you have them on, make sure they don't fall out, we don't want Darkstalker to know our plan." Sapphire said. Stormgrazer took his rock and put on his pouch, as he held the rock he looked up at Eclipse.

"Are you sure these will work?" Stormgrazer said unsure of the awkward looking charcoal. He slowly put his in his pouch and closed the bag. These must be skyfire rocks, I heard a lot about them in Siradia. Stormgrazer thought.

"Yes, Moonwatcher even tested them. I just picked it from her mind." Eclipse said. She studied everyone's faces. "It was for a good cause." She reassured quickly. Stormgrazer looked up.

"Well we could hurt the wings." Stormgrazer said.

"We could hurt the bottoms of his feet." Keo suggested.

"What about his eyes?" Apocalypse asked with an evil look in her own. Stormgrazer looked at her weirdly. Such bloody ideas! It reminds me of Scourge.I wish He was still here.

"Umm, let's just say, if we don't come up with a good plan we can consider that." Tidalwave said. Stormgrazer searched the sky, looking for Blackstar, actually now that he looked at the sky, there was no Blackstar!

"Guys, where did he go?" Stormgrazer asked, he searched the sky again. Only Darkstalker standing right next to the Mudwing village. Where did he go? Stormgrazer thought. He took a deep breath, he could hear the lightning cracking as it rose up his throat. Come on, come on, Stormgrazer thought. He shut his mouth but the lightning still kept buzzing and bouncing in his fire proof throat. He slowly lifted off. He then quickly breathed it on his tail then smashed into a tree to get out Where is Blackstar? Stormgrazer thought. What happened to him?

Stormgrazer stared up at the sky as he saw a figure fall, at first he thought it was a Mudwing soldier, and then he saw that the figure was black. Blackstar! Stormgrazer thought. He quickly leaped off the hill and flew swiftly into the jet black sky. What happened? Stormgrazer thought. He heard a huge thunderous roar that shook some trees down below that had probably been there standing for thousands of years. Oh no he didn't persuade him! Stormgrazer twisted into the air and caught Blackstar's body in seconds, the weight was too big and he started to fall.

"I NEED BACKUP!" He roared, trying to lift Blackstar's heavy body. He turned around and glimpsed sight of Tidalwave, Shadowhorn and Sapphire fly towards him. He braced himself as Sapphire, Shadowhorn, and Tidalwave caught Blackstar's body and they quickly and carried him to a muddy bank. Stormgrazer looked up and saw a huge talon almost went on top of them.

"LOOK OUT!" He roared, lifting Blackstar's body away with Tidalwave. Sapphire quickly grabbed Blackstar as well and the four carried him off, the talon made a huge thump. Sending mud everywhere and creating a mud wall that started chasing them.

"FLY U-" Sapphire started but got stuck in the mudbank.

"Sapphire!" Tidalwave yelled, he abandoned Stormgrazer and Shadowhorn and dove after her. Stormgrazer and Shadowhorn flew as fast as they could, Stormgrazer's tail got caught in the mud wall and got sucked in.
