Chapter twenty-two (Apocalypse)

Apocalypse ran through the halls, chasing after really for Blackstar and Eclipse. Apocalypse started flying, she could feel Stormgrazer right behind her. Some dragon ran into her, Apocalypse fell to ice, and smacked into the ice.

"Apocalypse! Stormgrazer! Thank the moons I found you!" Eclipse shouted, it was her! Apocalypse stood up and looked at Eclipse. Apocalypse rubbed her head with her talon.

"Ow. What's wrong?" Apocalypse said. Eclipse had a pure panicked look in her eyes. And on her face. Eclipse grabbed Apocalypse's talon and dragged her through the halls. Apocalypse yanked her talon away from Eclipse's grasp but Apocalypse didn't stop following her. Apocalypse could hear Stormgrazer trailing after them. What happened? Is it Keo? Apocalypse thought. She didn't know but she knew that when she found out she wouldn't be all daisies and flowers. Apocalypse and Eclipse finally arrived at a big room that looked like the throne room, in the corner Apocalypse saw Blackstar crumpled in the corner, clearly knocked out. The only dragon in there where Blackstar and Eternity.

Apocalypse froze, chest was barely breathing. She knew how fond Eclipse and Tidalwave where of him. Apocalypse heard Eclipse gasp. Apocalypse saw Eclipse scrape some ice off of the walls and set it on Blackstar's forehead, his horns made the ice sit perfectly. Apocalypse seemed to unfreeze, Tidalwave, Keo, and Shadowhorn were nowhere to be seen and Apocalypse saw that Eternity, who was right now leaning over Blackstar, trying to wake him up, was the only one that was currently awake knew what happened. Apocalypse rushed over to Blackstar and turned to Eternity.

"What.... What happened?" She managed to say. Eternity looked up at her with pain in his eyes. He looked like he wanted to tell her everything but he didn't speak. Apocalypse looked down quietly and said nothing. Apocalypse had many things storming through her mind but she was mostly scared. Where are they? She thought. Where did they go? Apocalypse sat next to Blackstar and Eternity. Eclipse sat on the opposite side of him. Eclipse was for him. Stormgrazer appeared and rushed to Blackstar's aid. The only thing they could do for him is make sure he doesn't die.

"That's it I'm going after Darkstalker." Eclipse announced. Apocalypse didn't look up, she didn't even say anything. Eclipse probably wanted somebody to say something and end the silence. Apocalypse closed her eyes and opened them again. Tears stained her eyes as she looked at Blackstar. She couldn't protect him, she was the one to blame. Apocalypse heard Eclipse's talons click farther and farther away, until the faint sound of Eclipse's claws faded away. Apocalypse looked at Eternity. Sound asleep, of course that was expected for a dragonet after a long day of flying.

Apocalypse was all alone, with all of the steady breathing around her she found peace, she looked up and saw the walls of the Ice palace glitter, full of beauty. Apocalypse took a deep breath and stood up, she went over to the entrance and started breathing a slow but hot flame, she worked around the edges of the wall and melted the ice, the ice started to water and as soon as Apocalypse stopped the ice crumbled and fell, blocking their way out. Now nobody will get in. Apocalypse thought. Apocalypse smiled and turned around, she went past Blackstar and sat in the Icewing throne, she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
