BIRTHDAY PRESENT

"Excuse me for a minute.." He nodded as I walk away. I took the call, it's Clyde. I Wonder why is he calling.

"Hey. What's up?"

[Noona, we're here at his house already. Troy and Tania are helping us.]

"Ah.. good thing, so Clyde. Gaano kahabang oras ang kailangan mo para maayos mo 'yan?"

[What time is it already?]

I looked at my wrist watch.
"It's 6 o'clock by now."

[Take him away until 8 o'clock.... Can you?]

I breathed out, That will be so easy. Oras na sabihin ko kay Timothy, he'll definitely do it.

"I can. Do great Clyde, Arasseo?"

[Ne, Noona.]

Naglakad ako pabalik kay Timothy, ibinili ko sya ng polaroid camera.. Two t-shirt tees and a hoodie. He's smiling at me while I'm walking towards him and he took a picture.

"Hey!"

I said, stopping him. Hindi ko alam kung anong itsura ko dun

"It's perfect."

He said, staring at the picture.
"Ano bang perfect sakin? Ikaw lang ang nagsasabi nyan."

I said, half-irritated, eyes rolling.
Hindi ako perfect, I'm only human... And humans are not perfect.  I can't believe this guy admire me so much

"Everything about you is perfect. What can I do? I just say it aloud. Kai, you're really perfect.. I swear."

He looked at me. "Can we take a picture together?" I smiled at him delicately,
"Sure."
He smiled, tapos nakiusap sya 'dun sa isang lalaking naglalakad na picturan kami. Luckily, pumayag sya.

"1-2-3.... Smile!"

Ibinigay nya samin 'yung color blue na polaroid camera at nagpasalamat naman kami, we'll have fun at the mall for some quite time now. Kailangan 'ko syang libangin for two hours.

Pumasok kami sa timezone. Bumili ng timezone card at naglaro, hinila nya muna ako dun sa photo booth at nag-picture kami.
"Ah! Ang cute natin dito oh!"

He said, pointing out a picture in the grid. He seemed to enjoy every moment with me, that's right.

"Yeah. You're cute." He looked at me unbelievably.
"Wha---what?" I smiled at him.
"Let's try this?" I said, tinuturo 'yung jigsaw puzzle.

It was almost 8:10 o'clock when I told him we need to go, at first he refused but I told him I'll be buying him ice cream so napapayag ko sya.

"Ang sarap!"
I smiled at him as I drive him home, kumakain sya ng ice cream so he cannot drive.
"Yeah, treasure that.."
He smiled at me as he take a picture of the ice cream. "Thank you!"
I chuckled,
"I told you not to say thank you. This only lasts for one day... and you birthday boy,meron ka nalang limang oras."
I winked at him.

He pouted. "Please?"
"Please what?" He's being a kid again.
"Don't do this for only a day, do this for good." I laughed as he begged
"I can't do that."
"What's so holding you back?"
Itinigil ko ang kotse, it's red light. I looked at him and smiled faintly.

Oh Timothy. Don't do this to me.

"I just can't." He's staring at me like his in the verge of crying. "I'm sorry."
"Cause you hate me? Is that right?"
"Timothy."
I don't wanna ruin the day, it's his day.
I sighed. This guy.
"No, I understand."
He nodded.. "I will just respect you."
