coffee and cream cafe.

that was the name of the cafe she was working at. 

as soon as he stepped into the cafe, he felt a strong scent of coffee aura. it was indeed pleasant. he looks around, the cafe was small yet really cozy. he was surely impressed. 

there, his pair of eyes diverted to the girl. 

she was still wearing her work clothes. she was currently bending beside an old couple who were playing chess. 

then she exclaimed as she points to the old man across her, "ha! you lost!" 

"i was just being easy with you two," he said, still not admitting to the fact that he actually lost since yerim was one skilled chess player he has always yet to won against.

"are you very sure?" she smirks playfully at him which made him sighed in defeat.

"oh jungkook! you arrived!" yerim exclaimed at the boy who was still standing at the entrance, observing her. 

he was taken aback by surprise but waved at her casually to hide his embarrassment.

"so sorry. i still got fifteen minutes before my shift ends.would you mind waiting for a while? while you wait, i will make some coffee for you."

"oh sure and thanks," he said and took a seat beside the old couples' table.

he stared at her back as he admired how she made the coffee. how professional she was at it. 

he got his coffee soon after about five minutes only. he tasted it and it was delicious, maybe one of the best ones he had yet to drink. 

he patiently waited as he continued to stare at her. she was now currently playing with some kids sitting a few tables ahead. 

she was coloring with the kids on the coloring books the cafe supplies. unknowingly, he smiled too at the sight of her smile.

suddenly, he felt a light tap on his shoulders. he looked at the direction where it came from, apparently, it was the old lady she was playing chess with before.

"young man, are you yerim's boyfriend?" she asks which jungkook responded with a nod.

"i knew it." she says after, which caused him to be bewildered. "by how you look at her. your eyes say everything, my dear."

"my eyes? but i don't like her at all. how is that even possible?" he thought.

"please take good care of yerim. she is a really good kid. she is absolutely adored by every regular customer because of how friendly and easy going she is. she is really a keeper, consider yourself lucky to have her as yours." the old lady explained.

"of course i will take good care of her," he replied with a gentle smile.

then, he thought about the old lady's words carefully again. "friendly and outgoing." he could not understand or believe. she was known as the loner who had no friends in school. in addition, she always reflamed herself from making friends.

his thoughts got cut off when yerim stood in front of him, out of her work clothes and ready to leave. "let's go."

they stood side by side, leaning their bodies on the railings.

they were currently at han river, eating some instant noodles while enjoying the beautiful view of the river and the comfortable wind.

the silence was filled in the air, neither of them talked. but it wasn't an awkward silence, instead, it was a comfortable silence. 

"the view is nice huh." she breaks the silence which he hums to respond.

"i got two tickets for the amusement park for tomorrow. mind coming with me?" she asked as she looks at him with those doe sparkling eyes.

"yeah, sure." he agreed to her almost immediately. he doesn't know why but, her eyes mesmerized him. 

"then i'll see you tomorrow at noon," she says before closing her eyes as the wind blows against her, causing her hair to flow in the air.

"beautiful," he muttered almost inaudibly.

he was shocked at what he had just said, but despite the fact that he did not want to agree to what he had just muttered at a few seconds ago, he had too.

he did not know why, but the sight of how calm she looked and how the wind just blows against her, she just seemed so beautiful. 

unknowingly, he pulled out his phone and snapped a few pictures of her secretly.

his mind and heart were confused. he did not understand his actions at all.

he wanted to press the delete button, but instead, he off his phone and slide it back into his pocket. he just couldn't get his fingers to do it. 

his body was just doing the opposite of what his mind was telling him.

"what is wrong with me today? i was fine earlier, but why am i acting like this. but even so, i'm not into her yet, alright. my heart is pounding, but it probably doesn't mean i'm in love. no, i'll never be, with her especially."
