I put my backpack under my head and laid down, trying to get my breathing under control and get the calmness back that I had before. The pace oft breathing went from lightening fast to a beautiful slow melody, and soon my eyes were heavy. I started to close them until something fell on my head from above me, causing me to sit up quickly and look up. I had noticed a small acorn across from me, and realized that a squirrel was up in the tree. I slowly rose from my feet and held out my pistol at the innocent squirrel. It snapped its head over at me and then tried running, until I pulled the trigger back slightly, causing a bullet to go straight through the poor animals head. I picked the squirrel from the ground and skinned it all while setting up a fire in front of me. I yawned tiredly after eating the cooked squirrel and laid down on my not-so-comfy "bed." I closed my eyes and went to sleep. I woke up to the smell of something burning and looked around me, noticing that the fire had lit some leaves on fire. I sigh and stand on my feet, going over to the burning pile and stomping on it to stop the fire. I swing the backpack around my shoulder and grab my knife which was sticking out from the ground and start trotting forwards. "Okay..... So that's East, That's West....." I trailed off while looking in every direction. I started walking to what I think is West and continued looking around me for any sign of a community or somewhere that I could stay. It was about mid-day when I stumbled across a small barn with a dog sitting and panting in front of one if the stalls. I pulled out my pistol just in case the animal tried anything. I whistled and he looked up, around, and finally at me. He stood on all fours and slowly made his way towards me. I cocked my gun and the golden brown retriever tilted his head and stopped. I tip-toed to the big pupper and leaned down to pet him. He rubbed his head against my arm and licked my face, while wagging his tail. I checked his collar and the tag said "Ollie" in big blue letters. I stuck my bottom lip out and awed, because of yaw cute pup in front of me. I tugged on his collar and stood up patting my knee and telling him to follow. I was a little bit shocked to see that he has been trained to listen, so I stuck my hand in my backpack and gave him a piece of leftover squirrel from earlier. "Here you go Ollie." I say smiling and standing up again, only to be met by three walkers. "Come on! Lets go boy." I yell at the dog and he obeys, right on my tail from trying to escape the walkers. I trip on something and roll forward, landing on my bottom and yelping from landing on my tailbone. I clench my teeth and attempt to get back up, until Ollie comes over and helps me to my feet. I pull myself together again before continuing to sprint in the other direction of the walkers. We eventually slow down, with me breathing heavy and Ollie panting hard. I give him some of the water from the bottle in my backpack and take a few sips myself, in an attempt to calm my burning lungs that were about to collapse. I turn on my heel and go back over to the barn with Ollie behind me, killing the Walker's with the last bit of energy I had in me. Once we reached the small barn once again, I pulled out my gun while shoving my knife back in the holster and searching each of the stalls. I swing my backpack to the front of me and put a bunch of supplies that I found in the tool shop into my bag. After I check the whole barn for anything, I make a place to sleep in one of the stalls and lock the barn's huge front door. Ollie sits in the back the whole time guarding, watching out, and waiting patiently for me to lie down. Once I got settled, Ollie came over and snuggled into the small blanket with me, and putting my backpack behind my head for a pillow. Once I fell asleep I had a dream.

*Dream*
"Come on! I don't have time for this! I have to get to work!" I say impatiently, waiting for my boyfriend to get into the passenger seat. "Um sorry Skye. I was...uh...in the bathroom....yea that's what I was doing...." Mason says nervously, while looking back at his apartment. I feel lied to, so I take my keys and get out if my car, not caring if im late to work, and storm up to his house and turn the doorknob, surprised that it was open. I stand there hesitantly until I snap out of it and stomp inside, going upstairs to his bedroom. I begin to open his door until I hear a female voice say,"Seriously Mason?? Why are you still with her? You're seeing me after all-" she stops abruptly after seeing me walk through the door, and hangs her head low. I jog up to her and push her into the wall, throwing a punch to her face, causing her nose to bleed. I punch her stomach causing her to fall over holding her stomach, I go to raise my fist again but my wrist is held back by him. "What are you doing with HER!?" I yell while pointing my finger at her now bloody face, causing her to flinch. I snicker and then look back up at Mason, blood boiling, getting ready to punch him when he tells me to get out. I glare at him with pure anger and kick him in his groin without warning. He falls to the ground and grunts, while im laughing at the two pathetic people in front of me. "Before you go cheat on this poor girl, make sure that next time, im not there to cause you pain." I say while pulling his hair back to make him look at me, I spit in his face and leave. I smile and drive away to work.

*end of dream*
I wake up to Ollie pushing his nose into my shoulder, and licking my face when I open my eyes. I sit up and yawn, smiling after remembering what happened in my dream. I stretch my arms and legs out before standing up and packing away my stuff back into my backpack. I sit back down on the ground and pet Ollie for a little, until I hear gunshots from afar. I get up and sprint towards the woodsy area. With Ollie following behind, I climb a tree and pull the dog up by his arms and hold him on my lap while trying to keep balance, which Is pretty hard, considering that me and Ollie were rocking back and forth about to fall out of the tree, but since I have amazing reflex skills and strength that didn't happen. I only heard one more gunshot after about an hour of being in the tree, and decided to get down. I put Ollie on the floor first, then climbed down after. "Alright, come on bud. We have to go find some suppli-" I get interrupted by a sharp pain on my side, and a low growl from Ollie. I look over to my left to see a knife sticking out of my side, and almost pass out from pain. I start to sway to the left and right and look around me with blurry vision, and notice that Ollie was attacking the guy who stabbed me. The last thing I saw was Ollie biting the guys neck and breaking it.
