I wake up and notice that im inside of some sort of bush. Then I notice that Ollie is by my side and has a gauze and some peroxide for me. I smile and sit up, instantly regretting that decision because of the wound on my side. I look over and instantly grab the peroxide, rushing and opening it before pouring it on my side. I wince and bite my lip to keep from screaming, before pulling the gauze over to me and wrapping it around my side under my shirt. After I was done doing that I grabbed a water Bottle and cleaned Ollie's muzzle and fur, because it was all bloody and sticky. I did the same to my face, except only this time I grabbed a rag from the backpack and rubbed it across my face to wipe away any blood or dirt or anything else like that. I smile at Ollie and his tail starts wagging, and comes over to me and licks my face. I giggle and slowly stand up, aware that if I go too fast, I could potentially hurt myself. As soon as I take the first step, my hand flies up to my side again, and I yelp for the first time in forever actually. I bite down on the inside of my shirt to help from screaming, the throbbing in my side goes on a little longer until it slowly stops. It took about an hour or so until I was on my feet again. Ollie sat and waited for me to go on, guarding me and making sure nothing was coming. I smile weakly at him as we keep walking. It was about mid-day (noon) when we reached a tiny shed. I looked through it and didn't find any walkers, so I secured it and laid down inside with Ollie by my side and fell asleep. When I woke up on the floor, it was nighttime and Ollie was sound asleep. I create a kissing noise and Ollie immediately gets up. "Hey Oll. How ya doing bud?" I ask while roughly (heh get it? Ruff....ruff....No? Okay....) petting him. "I think its time we go?" I said to the golden brown pup. I smile and stand, feeling so much better than before. I pack everything back up and open the tent, only to be met by a small bunny hopping around. I signal Ollie to go catch it with two fingers, and he pounces forward on the small animal. "Nevermind....We have to stay here to eat so lets do that." I say while grabbing the young hare from his mouth. I create a fire outside of the tent and sit down while grabbing my knife, and beginning to skin the poor rabbit. I roast it over the fire for a little bit before taking it off and splitting it in half for me and Ollie. After eating I feel full and sleepy, so I go back to the tent with Ollie following and go back to sleep. When I awake from my slumber im met with a cold breeze tracing my skin and making my hair blow around a little bit. Relieved, I sit up and look down at a happy Ollie. I look to the side of me and find a gun. "How did you find this?" I ask amazed, not expecting an answer from the cute pupper. He howls and wags his tail happily, then stands up and licks my face. I giggle and make sure that the gun has bullets and put it and everything else I needed back in my backpack. I walk back out of the tent and start my journey through the woods to find a sanctuary of some sort. We walk for a couple of hours killing walkers here and there, until we stumble across big gates. I take a deep breath and whistle, hoping to hear groaning coming from inside, which I do after like two minutes of waiting. I sigh and find a way over the gates and rush to the front of the big community and open the doors from the front. I let Ollie in from the big gates that were now open, which I closed a few seconds later. I walk over to him and nod, hoping that the pup understands me. It took a lot of work and energy and struggles, but we eventually killed all of the walkers. I smile to myself and drag the bodies outside to a pile and light it on fire, burning all of the rotten corpses. Of course, Ollie was helping with this process, so it went a little faster than expected. Once that was done I checked each of the houses to make sure nobody was there. It took about a week to clean all of the houses and make sure that they were livable, reinforcing the wall a tiny bit and working on target practice. I was in the middle of throwing knifes and training with my machete when I see a small group of people crouching through the woods through the bars of the gates. I hide behind the gate and pull the rifle that I found in a house from over my shoulder and cock the gun to make sure it was ready to shoot. I heard footsteps getting closer to the gates, and people talking quietly. I took an opportunity to try and negotiate when I heard nothing from behind the wall. I look around and see them standing there looking down at a map when I point my gun at them and yell. "Who are you?!" I say, making them drop the map and look at me with guns pointed at my head. Ollie comes out of nowhere and starts to growl, making me smile down at him and glare back up at the 5 person group. "We were just looking for a place to stay is all." the British guy says, trying to look innocent which I didn't fall for. "How many of you are there?" I ask tilting my head and taking deep breath while lowering my gun a bit to see the British guy in the middle. "There used to be 10, but 5 were taken from us and killed right in front of our faces. How many are there here?" he asks looking at the buildings behind me with a hint of confusion in his eyes and tone. "Me and Oll-" I go to say but stop and think for a moment. What if they try to take this place because its only us two? Ill just tell them that there are others but they went on a week long run for supplies. Yea ill do that. "Me and Ollie are the only ones here right now, because a group of about 5 are on a week long run." I say with suspicion and awful scary calmness in my tone. I look up and open the gates, taking my machete out and going up to the "leader" and put the weapon to his throat. "If you try anything, I will kill you. So dont even think about it. You can't take this place from me. If you wish to leave then do so. And if you do anything to me or my pup or my group, I will kill you." I finish as I take the machete away. "I will use this." I say pointing to the machete and walking back into the community. I turn around and see the British guy gulp, and nod in response after I signal him over. I stop them before they step into the gates, and ask for there names. "I dont know anything about you, so names would be a nice thing to have for future ordeals if I need them." I say raising my eyebrows and looking from left to right, down the line of survivors. "I'm sorry about that. My name is Greyson, and to my left and right are Tiana and Katherine. On the ends there is Jordan and Oliver." he says pointing to every single person in the line. I let them in and I greet them nicely, as to say that I wanted them to feel welcome. "Go ahead and pick your houses. Mine is the big two story light blue house. If you need me, you can find me over there." I say, swaying my head to the left over towards my training area. "I think we will all stay in one house if that's okay with you." Greyson says, making me smile and nod. "Of course. Just please dont use to much of the water, because their is limited supply in the river nearby." as soon as I say that they squeal and run towards a big yellow house. "Thanks!" they all say as they leave me to my thoughts. I look down at Ollie and shrug, walking back over to my training area with Ollie following behind.
