When I wake up the sunlight that cascades through the window is shining bright lines into my face due to the blinds. I lean up slightly and my breath has to hitch because of my lower back. My hand instantly goes there and starts to rub to try and get rid of the sting, but it just makes it worse. I didn't even realize that a small tear was rolling down my warm flushed cheeks. I wipe my eyes with my sleeve and uncover myself, sliding my legs painfully slow off of the bed. After doing that I stand to my feet even slower and still yelp. I didn't think it would hurt, but it does, and geez is it painful. I know that I shouldn't be acting like it's killing me, but if you go through that trust me you'd be hurt too. I make my way swaying my body to relieve the pain and go to my kitchen, where I find Rick talking to Judith and Dallas in a baby voice. I smile and notice that Simba is eating some dog food and my kitchen and living room is straightened up. "Thank you Rick. For everything." I say and he turns around quickly, because I startled him. "Oh, No problem." He says nicely. "Hey, if you want we're going to Hilltop to go see what they have, "Jesus's" community, and we're low on food so we thought to trade some ammo for some plants or meat." He explains. "Okay. Let me put Dallas to sleep and I'll get changed to go. Thanks for inviting me." I touch his shoulder and then take Dallas upstairs. I put him to bed and get dressed into some dark blue ripped skinny jeans, black ankle high boots, and a dark green rolled-up long sleeve shirt. I tie my hair up into a low bun, and walk out of my room and go downstairs. On my way out I walk past Simba, and I give him a quick kiss on his head before walking into my kitchen to grab my backpack, but I bump into Carl. "Hey Carl. Whatcha doing?" I ask. "My dad asked me to watch Judith and Dallas, and also Simba for you." He says smiling and bouncing Judy on his hip. "Okay. Well, I'll see you later. Thank you." I say, giving him a hug and leaving. I climb into the RV and go to the very back where Abraham, Glenn, and Maggie are sitting. As the Van starts moving, I do something strange that I haven't in so long. I start to sing;

Pack your things, Leave somehow. Blackbird song, Is over now.

Oooh, Oooh, Ooh, Oooh.

Miles I tried, River run. Hangs I've tried, Preacher sound. Pack your things, leave somehow. Blackbird song. Is over now.

After I finish singing the beautiful melody the RV goes completely silent and I lean my head back, with my eyes still closed. "The things we've all lost, now we're all like broken records. Repeating our mistakes and doing things that'll get us killed. But It's not for them, It's to contain our hate for the world. And I have so much hate for it, but my duties now are to stay strong for my baby and family. God it feels good using that word again." I say smiling, eyes tight, because I'm trying to hide the tears that are about to roll down my cheeks. I wipe my eyes, and open them, only to find Abraham staring at me with such intensity and Glenn and Maggie looking at me with such softness, that it makes me want to know what it feels like to be back in real life. I look up to the front and see Rick kissing Michonne on the forehead and I sigh happily, because I was waiting for them to get together, becaue I knew that they had a thing for each other. I sit back down and look down at my ring, before patiently asking, "What was it like before you met me?" It looks of pain on Maggie's face, and she looks ready to tell the story. "Me, Daddy, and Beth were enjoying our lives on a farm grown by a man, Otis, and he welcomed us so we stayed there for a lot of years before this happened, then one day Rick's group stumbled onto the farm because Carl had gotten shot in the stomach by Otis, and that's also how I met this handsome man." She says sweetly, and rubs his hand. I notice her bright but dirty ring and I sigh once again, happy for the two. I look back up at Abraham, and he explains. "I was with a group of men with my Wife, Son, and Daughter, and the men decided that while I was out on a run they would-" he has tears in his eyes which is scary for such a big bear man. He painfully starts to speak again. "They raped my Wife and my Daughter...So I beat the living hell out of them and now they're dead. When my family saw that I had done that they were scared so they left, and I was on my own until I met Eugene, saying he was a scientist, and I decided to try and get him to Washington because I saw my Wife and kids chewed up outside of the store, and decided that maybe that would help me get out of my insanity." Abraham finishes right as we're outside of the gates of the Hilltop. I stand and so does he, and we make our way to the front where we see the rusty color. I smile and say, "We made it." As soon as we enter the gates everybody piled out of the RV and car that we brought with us, and went to the mansion standing in the back of the community. Rick knocks and we all wait patiently until a Grey haired man with a beard the same color steps onto the marbled dirty floor, and puts his hands in his pockets. "Hello there. I heard that you are Rick and this is your group?" He asks eyeing Me and Maggie. I walk up the steps because nobody else was and reply, "Yes we are Rick's family. What a lovely place you have here. How did it come about?" I tried to sound professional, but it he looked suspicious. "Why don't you- uh..Come inside and I'll tell you more?" He stutters and I look behind me at Rick who just nods, and together the group walks into the mansion. We go up the marble stairs and into a meeting type room, where he sits in a chair at a desk, and me and Maggie sit in the chairs. "We came here to trade." Maggie says in her southern accent which really is adorable. "Food for ammo." I urge. He chuckles and then looks at the rest of the group. "If you can handle Negan then we will give you what you want for what we want." He finishes. I get angry and stand, slamming my hands on the table. "That's not what we came here for!" I yell, face getting red hot. "No. We're getting our stuff now or there's no deal." Rick says calmly, waiting to see a reaction. "I simply can't have that." He says. "What is your name?" I ask, face still hot. "Gregory. Who are you sweetheart?" He asks sarcastically and I finally blow. "Don't call me that!" He flinches and looks at Maggie who just says, "Don't look at me, I'm not going to protect you." When she does say that I can't help but burst into laughter. "Fine. It's Skylar. Skylar Lilly."
