Yeah I had called other girls pretty today. I had called Alice and Macy beautiful. Melody however was all that, above and beyond. She was gorgeous. She wore a satafire colored dress. It was the deep, royal blue type of color. The top of her dress was covered in white, sparkling jewels. They sprinkles down, getting more and more rare as they traveled down the gown until they were no more. Each of the jewels looked like a sparkling star against a night sky. The dress fitted perfectly with Melody, it looked like it was made for her."Geez, try not to drool." Isaac said laughing. I closed my dropped jaw.
"I'm not drooling." I stated.
"I'll believe the moment you tell me that you don't like that girl right over there." Isaac told me
"I don't like her." I insisted.
"If you don't quit lying to yourself, she's going to slip right out of your fingers." Isaac told me as he walked away.
"I don't like her." I told myself out loud again. At least not in that way. She walked over to her sisters, who where all grouped together eating some fruits on sticks at a circular table. More girls came down the staircase, but I didn't even look their way. I didn't hear their names or anything. After awhile I got the guts to walk up to Melody. Why did I even needs guts? I asked myself. It was just plain Melody, Melody in a pretty dress and nothing more.
"Hey." I said to her.
"Hi-"
"Hello miss, Melody Reed was is?" Another guy asked.
"Ummm yeah." Melody said.
"May I have this dance?" He asked her.
"Sure." She said. "Bye Kyle." She added as she was dragged away, right away from me. Right in front of me.
"I mean I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so." Isaac said as he just magically appeared next to me.
"Don't you have some place to be?" I asked him.
"Yeah sure, I already have a bunch of girls lined up." Isaac laughed.
"Well start going through the line." I told him.
"Nah, why would I want to dance with a bunch of girls that only want looks and not something passed tonight." Isaac laughed.
"What are you looking for, a girlfriend?" I asked him.
"Oh goodness no, I can't have the responsibility of giving a girl as much attention as she needs. No, I just want to have friends passed tonight." Isaac said.
