~September 6~

Thank God for a Friday, life always seems easier on a Friday. I pulled on my hoodie and a pair of run down jeans. I slipped on old gym shoes I had and ran my fingers through my hair a few times and petted Bandit's head quickly. I started to run out of my room, when I ran straight into Ashley, literally.

"Ok, one you could've broken one of my nails and I just got them done." She told me.

"Ok yeah, I'm sorry. It won't happen again." I told her as I tried to pass by her.

"Second hand, are you really leaving early?" She asked me.

"Yes, I am. I miss home." I told her.

"But you said you'd stay until December." She insisted, not letting me pass her.

"Well plans changed." I told her a little harsher than I meant for it to come out as.

"Well you aren't the only kid who's trying to redo this sibling thing, so before running back off to Michigan again, please think of that again." She snapped at me. She pushed by me, going down the stairs faster than anyone I had ever seen go down stairs in heels before. I tried to shake the funny feeling in my head out before rushing down the stairs too.

"Kyle, come on, we're going to be late and I'm driving you and Isaac today so move it!" West said in a hurry.

"I haven't eaten yet though." I said. West took a bagel and a banana and threw it at me.

"You're done." West told me. He grabbed the bagel from Isaac's mouth, threw it in a bag with a few strawberries before giving it back to an open mouthed Isaac. "You're done too, eat in the car, now MOVE IT!" West said yelling at this point. Neither Isaac or I said anything. We grabbed our food and backpacks and raced out the door before West insisted we were late more.

"Why do we have to go earlier than the girls?" I asked Isaac.

"Because West has morning practice, and the girls would never get ready in time. Besides Dads care doesn't have enough seats for us all." Isaac said.

"And Mom is already at work at this time of day, so only West can drive us." I mumbled in conclusion.

"Great, you're catching on." Isaac said sarcastically. We all got in the car and West started racing to the high school.

"Isaac, you, Kyle and Freedom are going to be home alone for a few hours today. So be good." West told Isaac.

"Ummmmm no, I'm going to a friend's house today." Isaac said.

"Excuse me?" West asked.

"I said that I'm going to a friend's house today-"

"I know what you said." West snapped. Well geez, everyone seems to be in a bad mood today, and I knew it all lead back to me.

"I'll stay alone with Freedom, we'll be fine." I said.

"Just stay out of trouble ok?" West asked of me, if only he knew how much he was asking.

"I'll try." I said.

"Promise me." West said.

"I promise." I said, then I slowly uncrossed my fingers. I knew perfectly well that I couldn't keep that promise, I felt bad for lying to West, but it wasn't like I had another choice.

I went to my home room class for the first time after meeting up with Archie in the hallways. Archie and I walked in just as the bell rang. Nether Via, Jared or Juliette were in the same home room as Archie and I.
