I million thoughts ran through my head at that moment, but I didn't know which one I wanted to take a hold on and take action with.

I was thrilled that Melody was here. She was here. In Florida. With me. The whole situation could have been better though. Her family was freaking out on where she was. Speaking on the topic of her family, her family is in Michigan. MICHIGAN.

"What are you guys doing here?" Alice asked. Yeah. That's a great question, to start off with.

"Why the heck did you kidnap her and bring her Florida!" Minho yelled at Max.

"Language!" Alice and Max yelled at Minho at the same time.

"Great. Parent goals." Minho mumbled.

"Wait. Why are you guys really here?" I asked them both, though if I was being honest to myself, I couldn't care less why Max came early.

"We wanted to surprise you!" Max said smiling. Alice was glued to his side, and I honestly couldn't tell who was happier about the whole situation. "I reserved another hotel room next door, so can open the middle door up. Now Minho and Macy can share one bed, and Mike and Michael can share one. So you're not all five in two beds." Max said. Even Minho looked happy by that. I glanced over at Melody.

"I'm going to go to the beach." I said to everyone. The beach was almost two miles away.

"I'll come." Melody said almost intently.

"But the beach is-" Minho started. Alice covered up Minho's mouth.

"Go over to Mom's after. We'll meet you there for dinner." Alice told me.

"Ok." I said shortly, as I hurried out of the room quickly. Melody was close on my tail. My heart was pounding and my palms were sweaty. Geez it wasn't hot in here or anything, in fact it was actually pretty cold. Must be because of the coldness that my palms were sweating rivers. Messing with my nerves or something. That didn't sound like something a scientist would support, but I'm no a scientist, so it doesn't matter.

"Why didn't you tell your family?" I said as soon as we were out of earshot.

"I texted them from Max's phone, but they didn't respond. I left my phone there like an idiot." Melody said.

"How did you get here so quick anyway?" I asked her.

"We took a plane idiot." Melody laughed.

"Well that makes sense ." I said my face getting pink. We walked in a comfortable silence until we reached the beach. Just being at the beach reminded me of Lake Michigan and how many times Melody and I had gone there. Where Melody's family was still freaking out. Where I was supposed to be.

"Do you like it here?" Melody asked out of the blue.

"Florida? Sure it's nice." I shrugged.

"No, I mean with your mom and your new step dad." Melody said.

"He's not my stepdad yet." I stated.

"But?" Melody asked, telling me to continue.

"It's like Steve ether want to be friendly or an overprotective jerk trying to replace my dad." I said all quickly. We were climbing up that dun that I had stayed too long at a while ago. We sat up on that dun, just staring at the water.

"It will get better. I promise." Melody promised.

"And if it doesn't?" I asked her.

"Then we'll send Minho your way, and he'll beat the lights out of anyone that needs a shove back to reality." Melody laughed.

"Then I'll come home." I said.

"Then you'll come home." Melody agreed. "It's funny, at the beginning of the summer we were worried I would be moving. Then my parents decide to stay, and you decide to leave."

"I wouldn't call that funny. More like sad really." I said.

"Whatever you say." Melody said. We stayed in silence on the sand, letting the breeze run through our hair and leading the little grains of sand up our faces.

"Do we have to head to the house soon?" Melody asked.

"We got a little more." I told her.

"Can I take a nap?" Melody asked. I laughed at her question, before realizing she was serious.

"Yeah, come here." I said. She looked confused for a second. I handed her my sweatshirt and placed it like a pillow. She fell into it quickly and fell asleep in a matter of seconds. I laid next to her, watching the clouds travel ahead of us. My eyes closed for a few seconds, but they didn't open again. I could hear Melody's even breaths, and it all felt like I was at home again. I fell asleep wishing that feeling wouldn't leave.

Author's Note

This was a different chapter. So Melody is back! The wedding is coming up!

Who thinks they'll miss the dinner?

Who needs them to be a thing already?

Who actually doesn't want Melody and Kyle to be a thing?

I would love it if ANYONE would go look at this website @ thoselettersneversent.weebly.com

It's a project that was started so that anyone that doesn't have a voice in this world, would have a voice. You write a letter to someone, anyone, and it gets put into this book. The funny part is, you don't sign your name, and you don't write who it's to. So it would be like:

Dear Bully,
You beat me up. You made me want to crawl in a hole and die, because you made my nightmares my reality....

-Her

And so on (the letters are usually longer, like a page) but anyone. Please go look into this project. I would love it if you did.

If you could write a letter for the project too, it would really make my day. Please!!!!
