The party ended moments later. People were pushed out to the exits in a rush. Alice found us and jerked us to follow her to where West, Isaac and the girl named Freedom was. Steve and Mom were already there, Steve was looking at the crumbled picture that the girl had shown, and was talking to her. Melody's parents were trying to gather up everyone, while Max was chasing around Michael, Mike and Macy. Melody left to help her parents. Minho and I followed Alice up the staircase. Jillian and Ashley were also racing next to us to get to the group of people next to the girl. I turned around to find that the Reeds were all gone, other than Melody's mother, Mrs. Reed who was next to my own mother.

"Who is she?" I asked, the question who was on most of our minds. Alice looked at me, shaking her head back and forth.

"I have no idea." She replied.

"Well she must be someone pretty dam important." Minho mumbled.

"How did you find us?" Steve asked the girl in the white dress.

"Nicky gave me the address of the party and told me that you guys would be here." Freedom said shyly. She bit the inside of her cheek and kept bushing her hair back, even if only a few strands came loose.

"But how did you get here?" West asked.

"How did Nicky even know?" Steve asked.

"Who's Freedom?" I asked. Everyone looked at me. Mom and Steve looked at each other, nether saying a word. No one spoke a word.

"Freedom is my sister." Isaac said.

"Our sister." West said nodding towards Isaac.

"Hold up, I thought you guys were the only brothers." Minho said.

"This is a family problem." Steve said looking over at Minho harshly.

"Well what am I? Cottage cheese?" Minho asked.

"Not part of this family! That's what you are! You're just some lousy kid from foster care that happened to come here so don't you dare start acting like you belong!" Steve yelled at Minho. Minho wasn't usually stunned, but the whole foster care and belonging thing bothered him. It bothered him a lot, more than I think it wanted to. Minho tuned to walk away, but Alice put her hand on his shoulder and pulled him closer to her. Alice opened her mouth, probably to completely snap at Steve, but she was cut off.

"I can not believe how RUDE you are. This young women started caring for her younger brother at the age of nineteen only, and juggled college through that may I add. Then she takes in four other kids, that needed her help. To add on to that, you don't even know the story of what happened BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T THERE. It's perfectly fine for you to keep a secret from the rest of your new family that you have a daughter, but OH MY GOODNESS it's World War three that someone that isn't related to anyone here by blood is joining your family. SO SUCK IT UP and GET OVER IT ALREADY." Mrs. Reed yelled at Steve. Mrs. Reed was purple faced as she glared straight at Steve. "Addison, I truly hope you knew about Freedom-"

"I did, we were going to tell the rest of the family after the wedding." Mom said, interrupting Mrs. Reed. She turned away from Mrs. Reed and turned to Minho.

"Minho I am truly sorry for our most unwelcoming behavior," Mom said looking over at Steve as well "we'll certainly try to get you better." I looked at the face of my mother, and even thought her words weren't written on a note card for her to read, I felt like she was just saying what we wanted to hear. Whenever I looked at her face, I could still see the same expression that she lied to me with so many times.

"Addison and Mrs. Reed are right. We shouldn't be keeping secrets from one another, and I definitely need to work on the fact that my family has grown. I say we should all go on a vacation to get to know one another better." Steve said, even though his words were strained when he mentioned the part on him needed to learn to live with the fact that Minho was staying. As he spoke he had wrapped his arms around my mother and his daughter, Freedom.

"We should all go to Oregon, I've always wanted to go there." Mom suggested. "Erika we would love for you and your whole family to also join us." Mom added, looking over at Mrs. Reed.

"Oh no I possibly couldn't-"

"No, I have travel points saved up and this could finally be out big family bounding thing we all need." Steve said.

"In late December." Mom suggested.

"For the holidays." Mrs. Reed said.

"For the holidays." Steve repeated. He hugged Mom and Freedom tighter to his side. "It's been a long day, I think we should all turn in now and we can talk tomorrow. I bet we're all tired." Steve said. We all filled out slowly, parting in different ways to our cars. I couldn't help but notice though how West and Isaac stayed near their father the whole time, while Steve's grasp on Freedom's shoulder never loosened.
