I'm Back

I opened my eyes to the brightness of the... walker arena ? And saw daryl and Merle across from me In ropes and chains as well. they don't know what Happens in these arenas... I do and it ain't pretty. I stood up quickly and took my cuffs in front of me. I yelled to daryl and Merle to do the same just as the walkers were led out On chains. Daryl's eyes widened and Merle closed his eyes and laughed darkly. "I knew I'd die by walkers." I winced. they uncuffed us and let the walkers closer. "one of our own has betrayed us by bringing his brothers group here. they broke In to our homes and killed innocent people. He must prove to us that he wants to stay." The governor yelled to the Woodbury people. I pretended to fist pump the air and winked to my brothers them barely noticing. I ran at daryl and threw punches while Merle jumped on my back. one walker was getting close until I kicked it's head in. that's when there was smoke everywhere and you couldn't see a thing.

Merle and daryl linked their arms over my shoulders so we wouldn't lose each other and we ran for the gates and Ito the woods. we climbed a tree and stayed their until it was light out. none of us could sleep so we say in the awkward silence we had created for ourselves. Until daryl broke the silence. "why did you leave?" and for the first time in four moths I spoke to my brother. "I was long gone before I left." daryl looked at the ground. "c.j and I had a boy. I thought you would wanna know." I looked at him with sad eyes. "did she make it?" He laughed slightly "ya she's tough. Now were waiting on one more baby." I felt my world crumble my heart shattered when he said that. "if you don't mind me asking who'd she hook up with after I left." Daryl looked at me stunned. "you really didn't know when you left did you?" I glared at him "know what!" I snapped and he moved back. "John that goddamn baby is yours!" Merle yelled at me. I sat their in shock and stared at the trees.

We got out of the trees as soon as we could see, and started back for the prison. we came up to the gates and I looked In. "well this is where we part maybe ill see you guys around." and I turned on my heel. "John you don't have to go" daryl whined. I kept walking. "John. John Is that really you?" I memorized that voice. that beautiful angelic voice that was I my dreams every night. I turned around and saw her beautiful blue eyes and her long blonde hair. her tear stained cheeks her pale skin with dirt and blood and her slight baby belly. I stared and she started to rack with sobs and ran for the prison. I chased after her grabbed her hand. she looked at me with red eyes filled with sorrow and sadness. I made her cry. "Beth I didn't know." she cried more. "you still left." I pulled her into hug me. "Beth I hurt myself everyday for leaving you but it was safer to leave you here. here I knew you'd be safe." she cried into my chest. "I almost did what Lori was going to." I stared at her shock. "abortion pills?" She nodded sadly.

"Beth I'm glad you didn't. now we can watch our child grow up. even if it's in this world we'll teach him everything he needs to know." she giggled. so it's a boy. I smirked "I think so. she took my hand and placed it in her tummy gently and I ran my fingers over it. "I'm going to be a better daddy then mine was I promise you. I'll be there for you when you need me and ill help you know right from wrong and ill always be around I'm ne'er going to leave you I'm always going to protect you." I stroked Beth's tummy a little more then stood up again. Beth was in tears and smiling and I saw Maggie and carol and c.j all looking at me with small smiles and tears for what I had just said to my unborn child. I went over to c.j and hugged her tight. "I'm sorry I missed out on your boy being born." she kissed my cheek. "we named him Cruz. cruz Jonathan dixon." I smiled. "So he's named after me aye." her smile faded "we thought you were dead."

My face fell and she immediately tried to calm the mood. "but that a reminder I named mine after you you name your after me. it's only fair." I nodded and walked to Maggie slowly. "I'm sorry about very thing you had to go through it was fair to you or Glenn but if I knew I would of got you guys out sooner." she hugged me. "I know sweetie I know." she kissed my forehead and went off to bed. I ran into bailey and Carl holding hands and I looked at them. "were official now, you miss a lot when you run away." Carl said dripping with sarcasm. bailey ran up to me and hugged me. "I missed you, and so did Carl but he's never admit that to you." I laughed. "miss you guys too." I walked into the cell block with Beth close to my sides. I walked up to crib and saw a pretty little girl and a brand new baby boy with dark hair like c.j but pale green eyes like my own. I smiled down at him and he giggled. I heard a laugh behind me and I turned around was embraced in a hug. all I could see was the colourful hair and the tiny figure.
