Meeting People

I walked up to Sophia and her mom. "Hi, I'm John nice to meet y'all." the older lady smiled. She started to say sit down but the man cut her off. "What do you want, you redneck hick?" he said with venom towards me. 'Just new here and wanted to meet people but I see your name is Asshole." I heard a young girl snicker and I turned my head and walked over towards her. I sat down and turned to her. "Names John." I said holding out my hand.

She took it, she had soft hands compared to me. Bright blue eyes and blonde hair she was really pretty. "I'm Amy" she said giggling. I smiled "Pretty name you got there." she blushed "Thanks, that's Ed and Carol by the way, Ed's kind of a jerk and Carol just does as she's told, and the girl over there giving you the glare is my older sister Andrea, she pointed to the family of four sitting by the trucks "That's Morales, his wife and two kids they stay a little away but Morales helps a lot. That's Lori and Carl Grimes, and Shane Walsh our somewhat leader, T-dog and Jaquie are over there and that's Dale on top of the RV." She said smiling she could remember all these names she musta had a brain. "Who's the chinaman over there?" I asked she laughed "No no, he's Korean that's Glenn sorry I didn't see him, I musta forgot." I thanked her and went over to Dale on the RV.

"Hey son, wanna come up?" he seemed nice why not. I climbed up ladder and sat down next to him. "What do ya do up here?" I questioned. "Oh have a bit of curiosity huh? Well, I keep watch for the infected." "Oh the Walkers." I said looking around. "Walkers? Is that what you call them?"

"Ya, you know the walkin' dead, after you die you get up and keep going, Walkers." "Seems to fit better than infected, I like it." He said smiling. "Wanna relief?" I asked "Ima trying to help as much I can." I exclaimed. "For sure, I had to go to the bathroom anyway I'll be back in twenty."

I sat down and waited while keeping watch. That's when I saw Ed yelling at Carol and the women down by the creek while they were washing clothes. "Shane? Can you take watch fer a sec, I gotta do somethin' quickly." I asked in a hurry "Sure thing." he climbed up and I started running for the creek. I got there just as Ed smacked Carol and she fell down. I tackled him to the ground punching him in the face "You lousy, no good for nothing piece a shit! You don't hit ladies and you don't hit people from our group!"

I hit him one last time "She's your god damned wife, you should treat like a queen, like she deserves not what you deserve." I got up and started walking back to camp but stopped to apologize to Carol and the ladies. Andrea looked at me impressed and Amy ran up and hugged me. "You're a brave man John." She said and kissed me on the cheek I tensed and blushed. "Thanks." I mumbled. Carol thanked me and ran off to her tent. The whole time I was beating Ed I thought of him as my dad and what he deserved. He didn't deserve anything.

"John! git lily white ass over here." Merle yelled I slowly walked over to him taking tiny turtle paced steps towards him, he glared "Come on John, I'm leaving!" I ran over and hugged him. "Good luck bro." he was going on a run with Jaquie, Glenn, Andrea, Morales, and T-Dog. "See ya later little brudder" he snickered and jumped in the van.

"John, I'm just gunna go by myself. I can't hunt a lot if I'm stuck with you tagging along ok?" Daryl told me. Dammit I'm stuck here again. "He can help on watch and setting up camp" Shane piped in. Daryl looked at him and started for the woods.

Amy walked up beside me. "What if she dosnt come back?" she whimpered. I turned to her and grabbed her shoulders "She'll come back Amy, I know she will, she's a tough bitch." I smiled at her. She wrapped me in a hug and I did what I wouldn't of ever done before, I hugged her back.
