~A/N~ I have no words to describe how I feel about George Floyd, and the disgusting fear and injustice black people in America have to deal with every. day. It's impossible to explain to white people how much of my life is dictated by racism, and that's nothing compared to what the black community is going through right now.
Black. Lives. Matter.

The next morning, I was awoken by sunlight streaming through my window and Lavender's cheery singing, which sounds a lot nicer than it was as the harsh rays were painfully penetrating my eyelids and Lavender's voice was hurting my ears, but I had risen to much worse things in previous years so I was already quite optimistic about the day.

The strong smell of baked beans and toast led me down the stairs, and I found the common room quite packed compared to normal, with Fred and George in the middle of the mayhem as usual. The boys were sitting off at the side, waiting for me, and I gave a tired smile as I met Luke's eye and my stomach gurgled.

"Is there a lion in there?" Ginny raised one eyebrow sarcastically, not in the best mood as sleep was still scattered in the dark circles under her eyes, and an aura of fury hung off her that had been created by Parvati and Lavender the night before.

"Just hungry," I mumbled, not in the mood to start a fight, and Calum bounded towards the portrait hole.

"Come on then! I can smell beans! Breakfast is always the best on the first day back!"

"D'you reckon Hermione will eat any of it?" Ashton wondered.

"Knowing her, she'll be on hunger strike until they get rid of all the elves," Michael chuckled. "She was telling me last night that we all need to start campaigning for the cause."

"I mean, I'm for species equality and everything but the ones in the kitchens seem to enjoy being elves," Luke pointed out. "Are you sure they want to leave?"

"Try convincing Hermione about that," I snorted, and we lapsed into light banter as we trotted to the Great Hall.

"How's your Inner Eye doing?" Luke asked, watching me over the table in Divination. Somehow, without Hermione's presence in the room it felt empty, as she was always the welcome distraction for Trelawney to hate. Now, a new pupil would have to be chosen and I knew there was a high chance it would be either me or Luke.

"I think it's gone blind," I giggled. "How's yours?"

"Probably will have gauged it out with a spoon by the end of this lesson," Luke said. "Why is it fair to have double Divination as our first lesson back?"

"My dears, it is time for us to consider the stars!" Professor Trelawney swept in like an eagle, dramatically gazing round at us with her moon-sized eyes. "The movements of the planets and the mysterious portents they reveal only to those who understand the steps of the celestial dance. Human destiny may be deciphered by the planetary rays, which intermingle..."

That was around the time my thoughts drifted off, and from the way Luke's eyes glassed over, so did his. Eventually I was forced to snap back into reality, as Professor Trelawney made her way over to our table and started to scream at the top of her lungs.

"Uranus, my dear!" she shouted dramatically, throwing her hand to her forehead.

"Excuse me?" I replied politely, looking down at my skirt and not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

"The planet," Luke burst into giggles, and I hit his hand playfully as I realised what the teacher was saying. Trelawney, however, looked unimpressed and began to monologue again.

"Of course, I saw the signs all along! The dark hair and olive skin are a result of the way the planets moved when you were born! Am I right in suggesting you a great fear of friendship, and an undying wish to be alone?"
