"charlotte, look at my fingers." henry stuttered, showing charlotte his fingers.
charlotte screamed and then looked at her own green fingers, which had now spread from all of her other fingers to half of her thumb.
henry struggled to untangle himself from his blanket as he tried to step off the couch.
everyone else groaned and screamed as they saw their own fingers.
"char, come with me." henry coughed, making charlotte's face turn into one of confusion.
"we can't leave the house." she coughed back, as she trudged behind henry. "we're not leaving the house," he started before starting in a coughing fit.
"we're going to my room." he finished, as he placed an arm on the third step of the stairs.
he slowly crawled up the stairs, trying his best to not fall backwards and as much as charlotte was sick and most likely trudging to her death, she couldn't stand how slowly henry was climbing up the steps.
after a good 5 minutes of climbing up the stairs, which would usually only take 30 seconds, they walked into his room and both fell on his bed, groaning in the sudden pain.
"why are we up here?" charlotte asked, as she looked up at henry's ceiling.
"because, i wanted to tell you something, especially if it's our last couple of minutes on earth." he stuttered, shivering at the sudden coldness he felt.
"what is it?" charlotte asked, concerned about what he could possibly say.
"it's kinda been on my mind lately, and i totally regret that i never said anything about it before, but i'm so thankful for you, charlotte." henry started.
"henry, i-"
"i'm not done." he interjected, before continuing his previous statement.
"you're my best friend, and i love you. you're seriously the greatest thing to ever happen to me." henry finished, making charlotte smile as her face heated up, this time not with a fever.
"you may be stupid at times, but you're definetly my best friend." she said, as she wrapped her arms around his waist. he hugged her back tightly before planting a kiss on her head.
they both pulled away from their hug, just staring and smiling at each other.
henry's thoughts were cut short, as he slowly leaned in. their lips were inches apart before they heard glass shatter downstairs.
they both pulled away quickly, not really knowing what was gonna happen seconds before.
they both quickly left his room and slowly walked down the stairs, trying not to fall.
schowz was at the door, purple liquid and glass scattered around the floor.
"the antidote!" ray screamed, crying loudly as best as he could, since he could no longer could open his mouth.
ray kneeled on the ground, trying to open his mouth and lick the antidote up, before schowz laughed loudly causing everyone to give him a shocked or upset expression.
"ha! i got you guys good, that's not the real antidote, this is." he laughed, taking out another set of tubes filled with purple liquid.
everyone quickly ran towards schowz and snatched a tube, before downing it completely.
"what happens now?" piper asked, before they all started shaking violently.

later that night, after everyone was cured and everyone went their separate ways, henry layed in his bed, thinking about everything that had happened earlier.
the things he said to charlotte could've been his last words, yet chickened out of telling her how he really felt, even if what he said was true.
he wanted to tell her how much he needed and cared about her, and how he was completely in love with her and just her.
henry couldn't sleep, no matter how many times he tried counting sheep, or by sleeping on the couch by the window in his room.
he just couldn't get charlotte out of his mind.
he was so close to kissing her, to be able to feel her lips against his but of course, it never happened.
while he continued to think negative thoughts about himself, he didn't hear the rustling from the tree outside his window, until a soft knock was heard against it.
he quickly jolted out of bed and ran up to his window, quickly opening it for the dark skinned beauty who waited for him.
"hey, charlotte." he whispered, trying not to wake up his parents or worse, his sister.
charlotte stepped into his room a wide smile on her face.
he was about to question her again, but she had already stepped onto her tippy toes and pressed her lips up against his.
henry was confused, but didn't hesitate to return the kiss.
they pulled away once they both needed air, and charlotte hugged him tightly.
once they pulled away from their hug, henry was already spitting questions at charlotte, who only smiled at him.
"i realized today, that when we almost died because of schowz's freakish disease, that you were the only person i wanted to spend my last couple of minutes with." charlotte stated, making henry's cheeks turn a slight shade of pink.
"i actually feel the exact same way." henry replied.
charlotte smiled.
"i know it's kinda late, but do you wanna go out for a walk?" henry asked.
"is this our first official date?" charlotte questioned.
"more like pre-date." henry smiled, as charlotte climbed out the window.
charlotte smiled at henry as he smiled back.
"this feels gooood." henry whispered, making charlotte blush.
henry took charlotte's hand as they both walked down the sidewalk in the moonlight, making it one of the many special moments in their relationship.
