charlotte sat in her dorm room, curled up in her bed. a large hoodie over her body, as she scrolled through her phone, a big frown set on her features.

her finger endlessly scrolled through all the pictures of her and her boyfriend, well now ex-boyfriend.

they hadn't had the most civilized breakup, especially since most of the town was their to witness. she hated to admit but she missed him, even if it was his fault they were no longer together.

a knocked entered the room, making her lock her phone and get up to answer the door.

charlotte opened the door, her best friend standing on the other side with a bowl of frozen yogurt and 2 spoons in her hand. "how are you?" she asked, walking into the room.

"exceedingly well, you know, just hung up on the scum that is my ex-boyfriend." charlotte replied, fake enthusiasm seeping from her words.

"oh come on, char, i'm being serious." the blonde haired girl said, looking at her friend expectantly.

tears sprung into charlotte's eyes. she was utterly heartbroken over a boy who treated her ever so wrong.

"i miss him, piper." charlotte whispered, trying to wipe the tears out of her eyes. piper shook her head. "no, you shouldn't be missing him. he should be missing you. he's the one who cheated on you." piper said.

"i know, but i can't help feel like i provoked him." charlotte replied, as piper looked at her astonished at her words.

"are you crazy? nothing in the world makes a good boyfriend cheat on anyone. he was scum and everyone knows it." piper angrily exclaimed, trying to make her friend stop thinking negatively about herself.

charlotte sighed. she didn't know what to think. they had been dating for almost a whole year and she thought everything was going smoothly but apparently it was the complete opposite.

"we're going out tonight. it's been two weeks, i'm tired of seeing you mope around. get up and get ready, we're going to a club." piper said, going straight to charlotte's closet.

"i'm not exactly up to go partying right now." charlotte said, watching piper throw all her belongings around the room.

piper shook her head. she was not going to get out of this one easily. "aha!" piper cheered, pulling a form fitting, short, red dress from the depths of charlotte's closet.

"get ready, no buts about it. give me three seconds to get dressed." piper exclaimed and running out quickly before giving charlotte the chance to speak.

charlotte sighed in defeat. once piper set her mind to something, there was no way of talking her out of it.

she quickly got dressed, put on some matching red heels, a little bit of lipgloss, grabbed her phone and headed to where piper was waiting for her on the couch.

piper sat, dressed in a black dress, similar to charlotte's.

"okay, let's go before i change my mind." charlotte said, a pessimistic tone laced with her words. piper smiled at her, before grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the dorm room and down the hall.

after a quick car ride, they were standing in front of the club, music pumping from the building into the otherwise silent streets.

after going through the bouncer at the door, the entered the club, music rattling the entire building. "you wanna go dance?" piper shouted over the loud music. charlotte shook her head. "i'll be at the bar." charlotte yelled in reply.

piper nodded. charlotte headed over to the bar and took a seat.

she pulled out her phone, and began scrolling through the endless amounts of apps she had. she didn't understand why she had so many when she only used the same five everyday.
