"here they come!" schowz yelled as charlotte and jasper turned towards the time machine.
ray and henry landed right in front of them, smiles painting themselves on all of their faces, glad that nothing had changed.
after exchanging hugs, sending drax a million years into the past, and thinking that they were gonna die, everything seemed to be back to normal in the man cave.
ray was in his room, schowz was working on a new invention, jasper was upstairs in junk n' stuff, charlotte sat at the monitor, and henry was eating nachos while he scrolled through his phone, glad that he had wifi again.
"hey, char, you wanna go grab some sushi with me?" henry asked, making charlotte look over at him.
"didn't you just eat some nachos?" she asked as henry shrugged in response.
"yes, but i'm still hungry." he replied, "so yes or no?"
"sure, i'm starving anyways." charlotte shrugged grabbing her jacket and walking with henry towards the elevator.
once they made it to sushi dushi, they ordered and sat in booth far off in the corner, where they were slightly secluded from everyone else in the small restaurant.
"what was it like in the past?" charlotte asked, making henry look up at her with a smile on his.
"it was so different and weird, like the phones were huge and they had no cameras or passwords on them and they had a little stick coming out the top of it. they didn't even have wifi! people dressed all weird and everything seemed super dull, i don't know, it was a nice experience but i'd rather much be in this time period than a past one." henry said, trying to remember more things from the past.
charlotte laughed as they recieved their order of sushi.
"well, i'm glad you'd rather live in a time period where i exist, and not one where i don't exist." charlotte joked, taking a bite of her sushi.
"i wouldn't want to be anywhere without you, if we're being honest." henry smirked as charlotte started choking on her sushi.
"what?" charlotte croaked as she regained her composure.
"yeah, why be anywhere without a beautiful girl by my side?" henry said, making charlotte's cheeks heat up.
"you're right. you'd be lost without me." charlotte laughed as henry smiled at her.
"extremely lost." henry agreed, as silence overtook them as they continued to eat their sushi.
"i like you a lot, charlotte. you're beautiful, smart, sassy and so many other things that lead me everyday to fall head over heels for you. so, with all that said, would you do me the honor of letting me take you on date friday night?" henry asked, as charlotte looked taken aback.
"yeah, sure." she smiled making henry smile back at her.
"did we just?"
"yeah, we admitted our feelings." henry clarified.
"technically, you did, i only agreed to go on a date with you." charlotte laughed.
"still a win for me." henry smirked.
"what made you admit your feelings to me?" charlotte questioned, curiosity taking over her mind.
"let's just say that past impacts a person."
