It's been weeks since the incident happened between them. Hindi pinapansin ni Sarah si Gerald since she started working again. She acts like he doesn't exist. She only talk to him if its work related. She kept herself busy caring for her patients. And on her break time she goes to cafeteria to eat and not in their little break room. Napansin naman ng mga kasamahan nya ang pag iwas nya.
Nag tatanungan ang mga mata ng mga katrabaho nila. They'll make whispers to each other asking whats gling on. Hindi na napigilan ni Ate Aubrey na tanongin si Sarah ng mag kasabay sila na mag break. "Meron ba kayo problema ni Pogi?"
"Huh?" Napatingin si Sarah kay Ate Aubrey. "Why you think that Ate?"
"Sus! Wag mo na i-deny. Halata naman ang lakas ng tension between the two of you."
"Ate. Wala naman."
"Eh bakit hindi kayo nag papansinan?"
"Because its busy. I have a lot of patients and I'm stuck with the needy ones. They call me every minute. And beside I'm here to work. Work is work. I don't bring personal problems sa work."
"So meron nga kayo problema?"
"Ate. Wala talaga." Hindi sya maka tingin sa kaibigan.
"Alam mo hindi na bago si Gerald sa akin. Parang little brother ko na yan," sabi ni Ate Aubrey. "He tells me everything."
"Ate..." She sigh. "Ang gulo lang kasi," she finally confessed. "Meron kami pinag dadaanan ni Mateo and Gerald is not really helping with the situation."
"Ahhh... We'll he's giving you your space kaya hindi ka nga kinukulit," Aubrey replied. "He thinks you're mad at him."
"I'm not mad at him. Kailangan ko lang talaga ng time to think."
"Kailangan nyo nga mag usap cos that what he thinks."
Sarah let out another heavy sigh. "Okay, I'll talk to him later."
Natapos ang shift nila. Hinintay ni Sarah si Gerald by the parking garage by his car. "Ge. Puede ba tayo mag usap?"
"Oh. so nakikita mo na pala ako." He said sarcastically.
"Can we talk like adults please?"
"Okay. Get in the car." He opened the car door.
"Gerald-"
"Get in! I can't think straight when I'm hungry!" He said.
Walang magawa si Sarah kundi sundin si Gerald. Gusto na rin nya ito matapos para maka hinga sya ng konti at wala na rin awkwardness between them. "San ba tayo kakain? Puede sa Denny's na lang. Malapit."
"Nope. I want to eat eggs Benedict and I know just where to get them," he said while driving.
She let out a big sigh.
