Last day na ng strike sa hospital. Wala pa rin negotiation na ngyayari between the hospital and nurses. But they can't afford to keep going on strike. Since last day na ng mga replacement nurses. Naisipan ni Gerald to treat Sarah. Pero it's too obvious naman na si Sarah lang i-tre-treat nya. He decided to buy starbucks for everyone na lang. Naging malapit na rin sila sa isa't isa. They treat each other parang part na sya ng night shift crew ni Gerald.
"Mon, where's Gerald?" Tanong ni Cris.
"He's buying starbucks. Its you know who's last day today," she said smiling.
"Oooouuu this is good. Don't tell him but Sarah was assigned on first floor. To labor and delivery," Cris said.
"Ohhhh his gonna be sad! Hahahahaha!"
"I know. I want to see his reaction!"
"He likes her you know."
"Duuuh! Its obvious. He's the only one who doesn't know it!" Nag tawanan si Cris at Monica.
"Okay! I'm here and here are your drinks!" Sabi ni Gerald na tuwang tuwa holding two trays of coffees.
"Thanks!!" Sabi nilang lahat.
Nagtaka sya kung bakit meron natirang isang inumin. Tumingin sya sa oras. Then, nag tingin tingin sya. Meron na naman hinahanap ang mga mata nya. He waited a little bit more. He's thinking baka late na naman sya because she have to sign in.
"Waiting for someone?" Tanong ni Monica while she sip on her coffee.
"No... No," he said and pretended to work on his clip board. Nang hindi na niya napigilan ang sarili, "Is Sarah late again? Is she still signing in?" Tanong niya.
"Oh she got move to labor and delivery," Monica said nonchalantly. She's pretending to work while she secretly watch Gerald's reaction.
He felt so sad. He knows he shouldn't be sad kasi wala naman dapat ikapag sad niya. Hindi naman nya girlfriend si Sarah. The whole night he just worked. He smiled while talking to his patients and other co workers but pag wala ba sya kausap he cant help but to feel sad. Parang hindi complete ang gabi nya pag hindi nakikita si Sarah.
Napansin naman ng mga kasamahan nya ang kinikilos ni Gerald. They tried to cheer him up. Gerald would show his interest but later balik ang itsura nya sa mukang natalo ng milyon sa casino.
Aubrey secretly took the starbucks coffee that Gerald bought for Sarah. On her break time she went down to the nursery to personally deliver the starbucks to Sarah.
"Ate! Bakit nandito ka? Dito ka rin ba?" Tanong ni Sarah ng makita si Aubrey.
"Hindi, akala kasi namin last day mo with us. Nang libre si Gerald ng coffee. Here," she gave her the coffee.
Hindi nila alam na she's feeling whatever Gerald was feeling. Magaling lang talaga magtago ang mga babae ng feelings. "Salamat Ate. Paki sabi na rin kay Gerald salamat. And thank you na rin sa inyo. Ma mi-miss ko kayong lahat. Ang sarap ninyong katrabaho!"
"Thank you rin napasaya mo kami kahit five nights lang. Four na kasi nandito ka!" Aubrey laughed.
"Ate sandali lang may pabibigay sana ako. Sandali kukunin ko lang sa bag ko."
"Okay." Umupo muna si Aubrey sa nursing station sa nursery at nakipag chikahan sa mga nurses doon.
Kumuha ng post it si Sarah at nagsulat sya. Paglabas niya, she gave the folded post it kay Aubrey and nag paalam na sila sa isa't isa.
