Tuesday Morning
Day 2 in Australia
Dear diary,
The Cliffords are such heavy sleepers, except for the mother of course. I woke up pretty early today, thought it'd be a good idea to spend a little more time getting ready. You never know when you're going to meet a cute guy while travelling, and after last night's encounter with Chris, I know now anything is possible. *wink* *wink*
By the time I left my bedroom, Aunt Colleen had already prepared breakfast for the whole family. Although the word 'Breakfast' would put the food on the table to shame, the word 'feast' better described the situation. Bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, toast.... The whole list. I poured myself a glass orange juice and sat patiently on the counter for the rest of the family to wake up. Since Aunt Coleen is currently taking a shower, and I'm the only one in the kitchen, I thought it'd be the great time to tell you what happened last night between Elise and I.
Once Elise entered the room, I immediately pulled her to our bed and started asking her, "By the trust of our friendship, give me your honest opinion on Jayden." That's just something we made up when we're in middle school to tell each other the truth, and nothing but the truth.
Elise hesitated before answering, she knew she couldn't get away with it. "Charming, intelligent, cheeky and hot. Like really, really hot."
"You're kidding me! Jayden is ANYTHING but hot!"
"Hey, your cousin IS hot, okay? Didn't you see the way that waitress flirted with him? It made me wanna throw the plate of spaghetti onto her face!"
"Aha! You were jealous! I knew it!"
"Oh, shut up Bea! Enough about me, it's your turn. By the trust of our friendship, immediately give me Christian's rating from one to ten."
"Ten." I answered without skipping a beat.
"Well, seems like someone has a crush on two different guys..."I giggled and threw a pillow to Elise's face. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't act so innocent. I saw how you look at that guy in the airport and the fact that you just gave Chris a ten out of ten, you definitely have the hots for the both of them!"
"Okay first, it's not a crime to have a crush on someone. And second, it's not like I'm going to be dating either one of them."
"Whatever."We continued talking about the fancy dinner we just had, and how the both of us would really like to give Max a piece of our minds. We even started to compare the boys back home with the guys here in Melbourne, how only their accents are able to persuade us to do anything for them. When all of a sudden, I decided to throw a statement to Elise's face.
"Jayden's single at the moment."
"WHAT?!"
"From what I heard from Tanya, he hasn't been seen with someone after he started university."
"Oh. Well," Elise paused. "Guess I can have a little romance in my life. I, too, haven't been seeing anyone after my relationship with that jerk-faced Bryan."
"Ewwwww!" I shrieked, throwing another pillow to Elise's face. "Are you seriously thinking about having a relationship with my cousin?"
"Why not?" she laughed. "It may even bring us closer. We can be relatives!""But I remembered Tanya once told me he was a player at his high school. So be careful if you want to step up your game, okay?"
And we talked a little bit more, until we heard both Max and Jayden shouted 'Shut up and go to bed already!'. Guess our giggles were too much for the boys to handle. Before I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, I turned over to face Elise and whispered, "Jayden's a bit of a player when he was in high school. Just promise me you won't take things too serious with him."
Elise gave me an indefinite answer, which was a cross between a grunt and a snore, and I can only hope that she heard what I said. The last thing I want from this trip is a heartbroken best friend. But that wouldn't happen, right? We're just going to be here for a week, nothing bad can ever happen... Hold on, I think I just heard someone waking up. I better stop right here before anybody starts to get curious on what's in my diary and wanted to read them. The last thing I need on this trip is somebody actually reading my diary.

Author's Note :
So today is just one of those days where you just sit at home and do nothing, until you regret it at night but couldn't be bothered by it.... Gosh I miss having to go to work, or going to school. At least it wouldn't be as boring as being at home with your dog.
But I did do one thing though, watch an entire season of 2 Broke Girls. Not my proudest moment, but proud indeed I am. :)
Don't forget to comment and vote!
