Tuesday Midnight, or is it Wednesday Morning?
Dear diary,
It's midnight right now. Elise immediately fell asleep once she crashed on our bed, which is weird since it takes her quite some time to get fast asleep soundly. This just makes me wonder where did Jay bring both Elise and her twin brother to, because the minute they stepped into the room, all we saw was Jay smiling like a fool, a very tired-looking Elise and a rather grumpy Max. I guess I'll just have to find out about that some other day, for now the whole household is asleep and it's the perfect time to update you on what happened after my last entry.
Remember that gorgeous neighbor who was waving at me? Turns out he and his family just moved here a couple of weeks ago from England. His name is Tristan Bailey, by the way. He was just admiring the sunset like me, when he suddenly spotted a particularly sad-looking girl in his neighbor's front porch.
Guilty!
"So, what's a girl like you doing with a sad face like that?" he asked after introducing ourselves. "Surely nothing too bad had happened, pretty."
"It was nothing. I was just sad when I remembered how little time I got left with my friends back home." I lied. "Just got a text from one of them, saying that she got an offer letter from one of the colleges she was applying."
And that's how we started talking. Tristan told me he felt the same way when he was moving from England to Australia, how hard it was for him to cope with the sudden change of events. The more he told me the story of his moving, the more it got me thinking of how I shouldn't come on this trip. Maybe I should spend more time with my friends back home before we all parted --- NO! Bea, do not go to that thought again!
The main reason why I wanted to go on this trip is because I'm tired of being safe. I'm tired of doing boring stuff like working part-time jobs while waiting for my results or immediately signing up for various colleges and universities just to continue my studies. I'm sick of these. I needed a break after studying for approximately 11 years.
I want adventure and excitement, I want...
I want a fling.
Diary, I'm an eighteen year old girl who hasn't had her first kiss yet, even Elise had hers when she was sixteen. I'm on this trip to take chances, forget about my responsibilities and find romance. Okay, I know I'm sounding really cheesy right now, but you get my drift.
Also, may I tell you that Elise is a really, REALLY heavy sleeper. She's been snoring for the past three minutes while I'm busy updating you. I can't believe she hasn't thrown her pillow at me for switching on the flashlight. Well, I better get some sleep too, diary. I still have a long day tomorrow and I think my eyes can't take it any much lon---

Author's Note :
Hello again, my little guacamole!
Hope you enjoyed this chapter. When I was editing this chapter, I can't help but to give Tristan an English background with a hint of a royal accent. This may be because of the movie series "The White Queen" I'm currently watching, and "The Lady of the Rivers" I'm currently reading. If I were to rate Phillipa Gregory's work, I'll definitely give her 10 roses out of 10. That's just how good her works are.
Don't forget to comment and vote!
xoxo
