Friday Night, After Dinner
Dear Diary,
I really don't know how to put this, but I think I'm really screwed this time. I'm trying my best not to hypervent, but I honestly can't see how. Oh gosh, where do I even start? It's not because of the 'mini date' I have with Chris was a total disaster, because it was actually really romantic. But it was the aftermath that got me to where I am right now. And now, Elise isn't going to be able to help me because (a) I haven't told her about the incident with Max, and (b) She got her own problems. So basically, I'm just sitting in the family room again, avoiding everyone, and writing crap into you. Sorry diary... Breathe Beatrice, breathe!! Calm down.... Okay, here's what happened.
Chris took me to the Eureka skydeck. At first Christ wouldn't tell me exactly where we were going, so we kept talking about Monash University and the courses available there along the journey. When we reached, I was surprised that he chose the skydeck, and before I know it, Chris had bought our tickets and was leading me up to the 88th floor. The elevator ride was quick, so quick that it made my ears popped. I followed Chris's lead out from the elevator and once I got a good look from a glassed window, I gasped.
"Oh my god..." I was speechless. "It's beautiful."
"I know." Chris said softly while slowly putting his arms around me. "C'mon, I'll show you around."
We walked around the 360 degree skydeck with Chris introducing me to the city and the surrounding suburbs. Not to mention with his arm still around me. But this time, I wasn't blushing. I mean, I did blush, but just not as obvious as the time when he took my hand. Mainly, it's because of the beautiful Melbourne view got me distracted from the butterflies in my stomach. And guess what diary, there's even a photo booth in the skydeck! So, of course I dragged Chris into it and took some pictures. Thankfully Chris was also happy with the idea and I must admit, the pictures came out cute! After a few more rounds of walking around the deck and taking pictures of the amazing view, we both decided to have a little snack at a small cafe. Chris ordered two hot chocolates and four muffins.
"What are you smiling about?" he asked.
"I'm not smiling."
"Yes you are. You're practically beaming!" We laughed and continued eating.
"And why are YOU smiling?" I asked a while later.
"I'm not smiling."
"Yes you are." And we laughed again. It's really great, diary. I was so calm and easy around him, apart from the time when a waitress came and served us, and tried to flirt with Chris. Seriously, who does she thinks she is? She's just a random girl who's working in a cafe while I'M the girl who Chris chose to bring here. And no diary, I'm not jealous.
Okay, maybe a little.
"How's the muffin?" Chris asked after taking a sip from his hot chocolate. Oh gosh diary, you should've seen his face! The cream from the hot chocolate got smeared on his upper lips and his nose! He looked so adorable that I was tempted to take a picture of him for you, diary.
"Apparently not as good as your hot chocolate!" I laughed. "C'mon, I'll help you." I took the napkin on my right and leaned towards Chris. As I wiped his nose and lips, I could feel that Chris was actually staring at me. Rather intensely, I may add. And since I was too nervous to look up, I just stare at his lips. Ever so slowly, he took my hand to stop me from wiping any further, and I froze. I'm sure at this very moment, nobody needs a rocket scientist to know that the butterflies in my stomach were high. It was as though the whole world had stopped what they were doing, and were waiting for us to lean in and touch down.
