Thursday Morning, in the backseat of Jayden's car
Day 4 in Australia
Dear diary,
I'm currently smashed in the backseat of Jayden's car with Max in the middle, with Elise and I on the either side of him. Tristan got shot gun while Jay drove us to the Gardens. Everybody woke up early today, which was sort of miraculous seeing the Cliffords often sleep in late, but somehow everybody was up and about when I emerged from the showers. I helped Aunt Colleen out with the picnic basket while Elise went and use the bathroom. Max and Jay, on the other hand, were playing Xbox in the living room.
"I really miss the times when Tanya hasn't moved out," Aunt Colleen stated as we were packing the ham sandwiches. "Look at what I have to wake up to everyday." she joked.
"Well, you can't really blame him. He is, after all, just a guy." I laughed.
"Luckily I get to keep you for a week. It's really comforting to have another girl around."
"Aww... Aunt Colleen, don't say that! Tanya still visits you very often. And so does Bradley, plus Zoe too."
"Yea, you're right." With that, the both of us continued packing the picnic snacks while talking about the times when the Cliffords were in Penang. About an hour later, everybody in the Clifford's household were ready to leave. Even Tristan was waiting for us in the front of the garage.
"Hey!" he greeted me as I was the first one out of the house. "Here, let me help you with that." With that said, Tristan took the picnic basket from my hand, and because of the mere connection of our fingers, I blushed again.
"Thanks." I said, while taking this moment to check him out. Let me tell you this, if seeing Tristan in a normal white tee is my definition of hot, then today, he is SMOKING! He's only wearing a long-sleeved black tee and a pair of dark jeans, and I'm already labeling him as my other version of drool worthy. His dressing is just like his personality, really cool and laid back. "I see you're still wearing my jacket." he winked while walking beside me towards the car.
"Oh yea, I decided to put it on so I wouldn't left it behind while holding the picnic basket." I lied, trying my really best to sound nonchalant. Obviously I can't say 'I wanted to put your jacket on because it feels as though you're hugging me.' That would sound really weird... And a tad bit crazy.
We continued talking until Jayden unlocked the car door and helped Tristan load the picnic basket and some drinks they brought into the bonnet. While that was happening, I caught a glimpse of Elise trying to get into the front seat. And if you're a great friend like me, I'm sure you'd do the exact same thing like I did.
I went and grab her, dragging her into the backseat. I called Max to quickly sit next to me, and I hopped into the car after Max had gotten in.
So here I am sitting next to Max instead of Elise, trying so hard to contain my laughter because Elise is basically fuming right this instant. I've safely prevented being painfully tortured by my best friend...for now. God knows what she's going to do to me after this car ride. I'll probably be slaughtered by her since I separated her from my cousin.
Come to think of it, are they an official couple now? I mean, they sure act like one. But they haven't officially announced it yet... I don't know, it's too complicated to me. I'm just hoping I'll get a fling...fast! I have only 3 more days left in Melbourne. Wait, what am I worrying about? Haven't I got a date next Saturday?
Gosh, it's really hard trying to write your deepest, darkest secrets when your best friend's brother is trying to take a peek. So I'll probably just stop here, also because of the fact that writing while in the car makes me dizzy.
