Wednesday Afternoon, 5 hours later

Dear diary,

Guess where I am right now... I'm in MELBOURNE CENTRAL! I've finally made it here, and nope, I did not come here by myself. I'm here with Connor, the airport guy. Remember the thing that was bugging me earlier? Turns out it was a piece of paper Connor handed me in the airport. On the small paper, which was folded neatly and kept safely in the pocket of my jacket, was Connor's writing scribbled on it. It had a phone number, a 'Call me maybe?' cliche pick-up line, and a tiny little smiley face. His sweet gesture just earned a small smile from me before deciding to give him a call.

Connor answered immediately after two rings. "Hello?"

"Hey Connor, it's me. Beatrice, the girl from the airport."

"Beatrice! Gosh, I thought I'd never get this phone call. How are you? You're still living in Melbourne, right?"

"Umm.. Yea, I'm still in Melbourne." I paused, mentally slapping myself for not thinking this through. "Actually, that's why I'm calling. I remembered you told me that if  I ever needed some tour guiding around the city, I can always call you. I know it's a bit rush, and you may have other plans going on, but my relatives and friends are all out doing their own little thing and I really want to look around the city. So, I thought I'd like to try my luck... Could you do me a favor and take me out for some sightseeing?"

There was a long silent on the other line. I involuntarily stopped breathing while crossing my fingers, praying for the gods above to give me a miracle. "I'm sorry to break it to you Beatrice," he paused and I sighed, knowing for sure luck wasn't by my side today. "But you're probably the most persuasive girl I've ever met. Of course I can take you out!"

"Wait, what?!" I shrieked, for I did not foresee the turn of events. Connor, on the other hand, just laughed. "Oh, that's so sweet of you! Should I send you my location then so you can come over? And for the record, you're not a psycho serial killer, are you?"

"Don't you worry, I'm not a psycho serial killer." He laughed. "No problem. I'll message you when I'm just around the neighborhood then."

With that, Connor was at the Cliffords' driveway about an hour later and before I know it, we were arriving Melbourne Central after a few rounds of 20 Questions, a car game that kept us busy throughout the journey and a way to get to know each other better. When Connor started leading the way through Melbourne Central, all I could do was gawked at the size of it. It was HUGE! Our very own Gurney Plaza back home would be like a children's playground compared to this! There was so many shops here, it made me wished that I had worked a few more part time jobs to have more spending money. Seriously, if Elise was here with me, we'd shop till we drop, literally.

After several hours of window-shopping and picture-taking with Connor, my legs began to hurt so we decided to take a sit at a nearby cafe. Connor even bought me this really delicious smelling coffee! Isn't he just such a sweetheart? While we were resting, a young girl actually came up to us and asked Connor to buy a flower for me, thinking that I was his girlfriend.

Oh my gosh, diary! People actually thought we're a couple! How naive IS that? I mean, Connor is a really cute guy, a sweet one too, he could've had all the fish in the sea! Why would people think that he would've settled with a girl like me? It's insane how the human's mind work, really. But something even surprising happened that it totally caught me off guard...

Connor thanked the little girl and bought the flower, gave it to me, and once we're done with our coffee, he took my hand and began strolling down the city. Let me repeat that again, diary... HE TOOK MY HAND!! At that moment, I swear I had just broke into hives.

"Might as well just let the young girl believe we're a couple." he winked.

Honest to God, I swear Connor could feel my cheeks burning up even with his thick leather jacket wrapped smartly around his torso. After that, we just kept strolling hand-in-hand till we reached a field. He chose a spot which is overlooking the main road of the city and asked me to sit down while wait him to go grab something. So here I am, writing all of these details down, while waiting for THE sweetest guy EVER to come and find me. I seriously can't see how this day could get any better, or worse. Wait a minute, I think Connor is back. I better go, but don't worry, I'll keep you updated with some even better news later. See ya!
