Thursday Evening, Later On
Dear diary,
Oh my gosh, you wouldn't believe what just happened! No, even I wouldn't believe what just happened. Actually, no, the whole world wouldn't believe what just happened. Why, you asked? Well...
MAX JUST KISSED ME!
Wait, let me rephrase that, MAX NEARLY TRIED TO KISS ME! It all happened so fast, I don't even know how to process it. It all started out when we finally reached the Royal Botanic Gardens. Jayden and Elise scouted a perfect spot for us to lay our picnic set and so Elise and I started to set up the snacks, while the guys went and open up the cooler filled with drinks that Tristan and Jay brought over. Little did I know, the drinks inside the cooler were actually alcoholic.
"Woah! How many alcohol are in there?" Max asked when the cooler was opened.
"A few." Tristan said casually while opening a can of beer, taking a few gulps from it too.
"Umm... Guys, aren't we a little underage to be drinking in the broad daylight?" I asked, keeping an eye out for any police officers nearby. The last place I want to spent in while on vacation is the police station.
Jayden just laughed. "Kiddo, relax! The legal drinking age in Australia is 18. Since Tristan, Max and I are already over 18, I'm sure the police won't be arresting us. How old are you again, little B?" He asked while opening a can of beer.
"Well, I'm officially 18 a few days ago." I said. "Does that mean I get to drink too?" I eyed a particular fancy bottle of apple cider which looked vaguely appetizing.
"Go ahead then." Jayden urged.
"Hey, no fair! I'm not officially 18 for another couple of months!" Elise whined beside me.
"Don't worry, love. No one's gonna tell." Tristan winked while handling each of us a plastic red cup. He then poured the sparkling liquid into it.
"To being officially and over 18." he toasted. "To being officially and over 18." Everyone clinked their cups and beer cans and started pouring down the liquid into our mouths. After that, each of us decided to do the things we wanted to do, which means Jay and Elise leaving the three of us to go to some private couple's place. While the three of us continued to drink some more and nibbled on some of the snacks, we decided to play a game. One of us have to make an impression of someone else and the others had to guess. From there, we found out that Tristan was really good with impressions. From cartoon characters to real life celebrities voices, Max and I were able to guess all the impressions Tristan was mimicking.
Unfortunately, there were only so much impressions Tristan could do, and after a few rounds, things got kind of boring. We started to talk about anything that came into our minds. Now I know I said it before that I really admired Tristan's point of view in life, that it's really cool and nonchalant, but after hearing it for a few times... It gets boring.
I looked over at Max, who was taking pictures of...me?! Wait, scratch that,he was taking pictures of the birds behind me. Anyways, I politely excused myself away from Tristan, took two cans of beers and headed towards Max's direction.
"Hey, you want one?" I said while tossing a can towards him. He caught it rather swiftly, I may say.
"Don't do that, I don't trust your aiming skills. Mind you, you won't be able to pay the damage you'd cause once this gorgeous face of mine got damaged in any way."
"Oh please, stop being such a drama queen." I laughed.
"Well, now I'm offended." he pouted while crossing his arms. I pretended not to care while sipping a few sips of beer. After seeing that I was ignoring him, Max used my fatal flaw to punish me. He tickled me.
