You and Booth were partners. You had been brought together by a serial murder case and you had stayed his partner as you worked well with both him and the squints. "I'm just saying I had plans for tonight, so you guys could find these bodies, you know earlier in the day. That would be great." You moved up onto the platform, lifting your dress out of the way of your shoes. "What? Why are you staring at me?" Vincent, Booth and Hodgins were all staring at you open mouthed. Angela wacked Hodgins in the arm and he turned away collecting evidence. Booth smirked. "Interrupted date?" Cam asked. "Yes." Noting Vincent's disappointed look, and the comforting looks shot at him. "My brother needed my help with a work thing and his girlfriend was sick, so I went instead. My love life consists of dead bodies."
"As romantic as that sounds, I am going to work on the victim's phone and see what I can find on it." Angela walked away throwing a meaningful look at Vincent. "Did you know holding a loved one's hand relieves pain and stress?" Vincent quipped. "If you wanted to hold my hand Vincent all you had to do was ask. Did you know that the feeling of butterflies in your stomach is actually caused by adrenaline?"
"Did the pair of you know that a flock of crows is called a murder. Which is what we've got here on the table." Cam stated plainly. Both of you moved off, Vincent to Hodgins and you went with Booth.
---The Next Day---
You had changed from your dress to your work clothes. You moved into the Bone Room, "Hey, Vincent. What did you find?"
"She suffered Sharp Forced Trauma to her skull which penetrated the brain. She has defensive wounds." You smiled at him, Booth entered with Bones and motioned for you to follow him.
---After the case---
You were all drinking in the Founding Fathers, celebrating the end of the case. Vincent moved over to you. "Did you know it takes four minutes to determine whether you like someone?" Nodding your head, you finished your drink before replying. "I did, it only took me two to determine whether I liked you though." The smiles you shared had promises of what was yet to happen hidden in them.
