You brushed your soft locks out of the way of your eyes sighing. Kirk really needed these translations finished. Nyota sat beside you translating her own stack of papers. Chekov entered the room as to both placed a couple aside. "Captain Kirk would like to know if the translations are ready?" You sighed "Not yet, Pavel." He nodded and moved away. Nyota turned to you a smirk playing on her lips. "Pavel?" She questioned. At your shrugging shoulders, she continued "He doesn't let a lot of people call him that in fact I can think of one and she's sitting right here."

"You?" Sarcasm was your natural defense. "Very funny. How long have you liked the whiz kid?"

"2 years, 3 months and 15 days."

"Beginning of the 5-year mission then." You nodded having only recently transferred to the Enterprise. "You should ask him out." You shook your head. "I'm going to take these to Kirk." You grabbed the finished stack as Nyota cleaned up. Walking to the bridge you thought about how you could, in theory, ask the Russian out. No, you couldn't, could you? "Permission to enter the bridge?"

"Granted." Kirk turned away from arguing with Bones. "Thank you, Y/N. Anything I need to be aware of?"

"Nothing urgent. Just one from base asking about our next shore leave." At that remark, everyone seemed to stand or sit a little straighter apart from Spock of course. Nyota entered. "I suggest this planet with remarkable beaches."

"Sounds good give the coordinates to Sulu and we will head there. Peaceful right?"

"Thankfully yes though there is a chance we could run into trouble as we have you as a captain." Bones quipped. Everyone grinned. Kirk laughed. "Back to work. Spock, sort out timetables to allow shore leave."

"Yes, captain." You moved away Nyota moved to her station. You noticed Pavel's follow you. When he caught your gaze he blushed.

You were heading back to your quarters after a day on the beach. One of the best days ever. Turning the corner you bumped into Chekov. "Pavel! Oh, I'm so sorry."

"It's fine, Y/N. Do you want me to walk you back to your quarters?" You nodded shyly. Arriving back you invited him in for a drink. He smiled at you. "May I ask you something?"

"Sure." You turned to face him. He moved forwards. He sweetly captured your lips in his. His hands moving on to the small of your back and the other in your hair. Pulling away you whined softly at the loss of contact. He smiled. "I guess that means you like me too?"

"You guessed right." Leaning forwards you kissed him again.
