Round Table
"So, the unsub is obsessed with the history of Angels and Demons in the 18th century. What do you know Reid?" Emily posed the question, Reid looked up from the crime scene photos mouth open. IT was quiet for a few moments before Luke interrupted. "Reid doesn't know something that has to be a first." The team smiled, "I might know someone." Simmons stated. "Great, talk to them. JJ, you and Luke go to the latest crime scene. Reid, Rossi to the ME's office. I'm going to coordinate with the local LEO's." The team nodded and moved away to their tasks. Emily moved closer to Matt. "You okay?"
"Yea, I just haven't spoken to her in a while. Since college." He sent a quick text before smiling and moving away.
Your office
You glanced up as Matt entered the room. "Hey."
"Hey." You smiled at each other. "So, Historian huh."
"Historian. FBI huh."
"Yea, Behavioural Analysis Unit."
"Wicked. What do you need?"
"We have been working a few murders which we think are connected due to the ritualistic crime scenes and the way the victims have been chosen. We think that he is using the ideas of the 18th century on Angels and Demons." You nodded.
"Is he working from a grimoire?" Matt's eyebrows rose. "Book of magic spells and symbols as well as how to use them. It might be how he's choosing them. They may represent something to him or he may see a something that they symbolize. But this will be something only he will see and coupled with his obvious psychosis, you may not be able to talk him down." Matt sat shocked. "Psychology course, remember?" He nodded. "Thanks for your help."
"No worries, let me know how it goes?"
"Will do." He moved off and away. After the door shut you sat back and grinned you had always had a crush on the agent.
--- A Few days later---
Matt waited outside your office door before knocking. "Come in." He entered the room. "Matt! Hey. What are you doing here? Need to know about medieval torture methods?" He grinned, "I see enough of that at work, thanks. I just wanted to say that we got him and that your information really helped. Thank you."
"Just trying to help." He smiled. "I wanted to ask if you wanted to get a date sometime."
"Yes, I would love too."
"Pick you up at 7 tomorrow?" You nodded. "See you then."
