Finding you

Chapter 7

Their car ride wasn't too awkward, but Eddie was always known to be a shy person. He really liked Chris, but he hardly knew anything about him apart from him going out of his way to help Eddie. There was something about Chris that just made Eddie's stomach flutter, but he still couldn't distinguish what it was.

Chris pulled up outside his house, it was around 7:20am and he got out of his car and opened the boot to give Eddie his stuff.
Eddie was still in the passengers seat, looking out to the rearview mirror to watch Chris.

He walked up to Eddie's side and opened his door, stepping to the side to let him out.
Eddie paused and looked up, making eye contact with Chris for a few seconds, until he realised that Chris was also waiting for him to get out.

"Oh, uhh thank you" Eddie softly said, quickly looking down and getting out the car.
"I'll take that, it's okay Chris. Thank you." Still speaking in a quiet voice

Eddie felt intimidated by Chris. He was so beautiful. He felt so shy around him.

"You don't need to be so shy around me, I won't bite" Chris said, putting his hand on Eddie's shoulder. He looked at Eddie and gave him a warm smile.

They got up to the doorway and as Chris was rattling the keys in his door, Eddie couldn't help but stare.
Chris opened the door and turned his head, again making eye contact with him.

He took the luggage from Eddie and put it onto the sofa, and Eddie closed the door behind him. Eddie was still tired as he only got around 3 hours sleep.

"I know you're probably a little shy, but I have a feeling we're gonna be real close, you know?" Chris lightly spoke, walking up close to Eddie and giving him another warm smile.

"Well uh, yeah I guess" Eddie quietly chuckled, looking to the floor.
"I'll take you to my room, I'll sleep on the sofa from now o-"

"No, stay with me. I don't like being alone. Besides, it's your bed after all" Eddie looked up at Chris, and he was still around 1 inch from his face.

Eddie thought he sounded a little demanding, and tried to carry on.

"Well, I mean, you don't have to stay with me, it's just a suggestion" Eddie tried a smooth recovery. Chris laughed, and lightly shook his head.

"You really are adorable, you know that? If you want me to sleep next to you, I'm completely fine with that" Chris said

Eddie was looking to the floor again, and Chris put his hand under his Chin and lifted his head up, making eye contact between the two.

"I'll take you up to our room then" Chris said, taking Eddie's arm, leading him upstairs.
