Finding you

Chapter 24

They were sitting next to one-another on Christmas, watching the movie. Eddie was leaning against Chris's chest, and they were both wrapped in a blanket that was shared between them.

"Chris, I love you. Don't forget that" Eddie told him, looking up at his blue eyes.

"And I love you too Eddie, I always will" Chris said, stroking his hair.

As they were getting comfortable, a phone call interrupted them.

Eddie rolled his eyes and got up.

Chris took Eddie's hand as he was walking towards the phone "do you want me to get it?"

Eddie smiled and shook his head, "no, I got it"

Chris twiddled his thumbs whilst watching the movie, merely listening to Eddie too.

"Hello?"
"Eddie, is that you?"

Eddie sighed
"No, it's the power of Christ. Yes it's me, who is this?"
"Umm.. Stone?" He said, in a questiony tone

Eddie paused for a second before carrying on
"Oh, Stone! Merry Christmas" Eddie's tone lightened up.

"Thanks you too. Listen, it's been a few months since you moved to Seattle. We've decided to come over now anyway. Jeff, Mike, Dave and I have sorted out houses and apartments and shit. Anyway, we'll be there in a week or two then we can all get together to work on Ten"

"Sure, sounds good Stone" Eddie quickly added, before stone continued.

"Anyway, where have you been staying since you got there, Ed?"

"Oh, it's a long story. I'd rather tell you all in person, I have a relationship I wanna let you know about when you get here too"

Stone hesitated before speaking.

"Oh! What's her name?"

"Umm.."

"What?" Stone chuckled

"His name is Chris. He's great, I've told him about our band and he has one of his own too."

"Sounds cool Eddie, tell Chris I said hey Alright? I gotta fly. See you soon"

Before Eddie could say anything, Stone hung up.

He made his way back to Chris and sat beside him, and Chris put his arm around Eddies shoulder; turning to him.

"What was that about? Who's coming over?" He asked.

Eddie laughed "Oh you know my band, Pearl Jam?"
Chris nodded
"They're moving to Seattle in a week or so and they've already got their accommodation sorted out. We're gonna resume on the album we were working on before I came here"

Eddie's face was beaming, and that alone made Chris smile.

"Ed, that's great!"

"And and they wanna meet Soundgarden and it's gonna be great!" Eddie added, not letting Chris finish

"Calm down" Chris chuckled "It will be great, we'll all meet up and hang out and do whatever you wanna do. I'm really happy for you Eddie - besides, it's a positive way to end Christmas"

Eddie leaned over and kissed Chris passionately.

"I know"
