It was the next morning, it was Eddie's birthday.

Eddie woke up next to Chris as usual. He still felt kind of upset as to what happened the other day but he tried to shake it off. Besides, he didn't tell Chris he loved him anyway - as hard as it was to not say it.

Chris rolled over to face Eddie. He rubbed his eyes as he slowly began to wake up next to him.

"Well well, if it isn't the birthday boy" He said, with a grin.
Eddie shrugged his shoulders and hugged Chris. He was never one to make a big deal out of himself, and he didn't want Chris to bother with his birthday anyway.

"I got you something, but I'll give it to you later. I'm taking you out somewhere actually first"

"Chris, are you sure? Besides, I don't wanna make it a big deal" Eddie said, rubbing his eyes and his foggy voice clearing away.

"Don't be ridiculous. Come on, let's get dressed and we'll start the day alright?"
"Sure"

It was late afternoon, and because it was December it was dark already. They were in the car, and Chris was driving.

"Chris, where are we actually heading to?"
"Wait and see" Chris replied, with a mischievous grin

Eddie playfully grunted and looked out to the window. He suddenly beamed when he saw where Chris was taking him to. It was a quiet beach that Eddie would rant about to Chris, one that he loved as a kid when his family used to go down to Seattle to visit.

It was deserted, as nobody goes in December. It didn't matter to Eddie, he hadn't been in years and years and he'd go to the beach anytime of the year anyway. He was just happy he would get to be in his favourite place, with his favourite person.

Chris turned and laughed at Eddie, as he could see how excited he was getting.
"Man, I think I know you too well" he laughed.

"You honestly have no idea how happy I am Chris"

By the time they got to the beach and parked, it was already night. The stars were glimmering out from the sky, and it reflected upon the rippling waves of the navy blue ocean.

They got out of the car and lay beside two rocks that they rested their heads upon, with their toes just in the water.

"Honestly Chris, you've really made my day y'know? I couldn't ask for more." Eddie said, turning to face him.

"I'm happy you love it, but I haven't given you your present yet."

Eddie sat up, still looking at him. But, he gave Chris a confused look. Eddie became uncomfortable, so he lay back down on the rock.

He let out a small chuckle, which merely sounded like a sigh.
"What are you on? Was it the cake we had earlier or something? Chris, you've given me so much" Eddie said. His eyes glimmered in the moonlight.

"Trust me, I know you'll like it" Chris told him, gently moving towards Eddie.

Eddie held onto the collar of Chris's shirt as Chris lay on top of him. Chris moved Eddie's hair out of his face, to reveal more of his face.

"You look really nice in this angle, I should lay like this more often"

They both laughed. Chris cupped Eddie's cheek for a few seconds, and leaned in.

It was slow, and his face hovered not even a centimetre away from Eddie's. Then, he smashed his lips onto Eddie's.

They passionately kissed hard and deep, in the place Eddie loved, with the person he loved.

Chris loved Eddie, and it was the same love he received back.
