Chapter 18

After 10 minutes of kissing and caressing, they pulled away for breath. Chris shifted down and laid on Eddie's chest; they looked up into the stars. Eddie had his hands gently twiddling Chris's hair between his fingers, and he looked down to Chris and made eye contact.

"That was fun" Eddie sighed. By then, he knew that Chris knew that Eddie liked him. He didn't need to explain any feelings to Chris, as it was always shown. Chris loved Eddie unconditionally, they both knew that.

"I'm really glad I met you Chris. I love you"
"I love you too"

They both smiled and watched the shore wash inwards and outwards. They got to the level of closeness when awkward silences weren't awkward anymore. No matter what, they were always comfortable around each other.

"You never did really tell me much about your past life, back in Chicago."
Eddie looked to Chris, gently smiling.
"You wanna know?"

Chris nodded, and listened to Eddie talk.
He was still twiddling Chris's hair.

"I was born in Illinois, and my name was actually Edward Louis Severson III. Though, i was known as Eddie Mueller. I went to school and shit, but my father died before I knew he was my father and I got pretty worked up about it. Anyway, I changed my name to my mother's maiden's name, Eddie Vedder. So, let's skip to a few years later. I had a small job and rented an apartment with my them girlfriend, Brooke."

"Isn't Brooke the one you said you had an abusive relationship with?" Chris asked.

Eddie nodded, and continued.

"Yeah, she became pretty physically and verbally abusive. I didn't have anywhere else to go, so I had to stay with her. I tried giving her chances but I figured I can't just live my life under someone else's control - I had to do something. Therefore, I grabbed my things and left. I drove to Seattle and here I am now, with you" Eddie smiled after he finished.

"I promise I won't treat you like she did, Eddie. I'm happy you're with me too. I don't think I'd be the same if I wasn't here with you"

"God Chris, back at it with the compliments"
Chris chuckled, got up and took Eddie's hand.

"We going on another one of your adventures?" Eddie laughed.
"Maybe" Chris winked.

I'm sorry for not writing recently, I hope you all had a great Christmas. Oh and in real life, Eddie's name was actually Edward Louis Severson III. I wasn't making that up lmao.
