"Please take care of her."

"Come on, you know I will, Its not like I don't have help." Owen rolled his eyes and took Petal from my arms. I was glad him and his boyfriend were back together, he made Owen a lot less reckless. "So this is it, huh? I won't see you for like three months and you'll just be on a totally different continent."

"If you fucking cry..." I threatened him.

"It's just that if something happens to you..." his eyes began to water.

"I'll be fine." I assured him and gave him a hug. "I've got to go though." I said knowing my taxi was here.
He put my dog down and helped me carry my things outside and boot them into the boot of the car. I gave him one final hug before I got in.

The taxi ride to the airport was nerve wracking. I had been to the U.S. before but never like this.
At least I knew I'd never feel homesick as long as Phil was around. I looked out the window at all the early morning sights of London. People rushing to get to where they needed to be for the day.

"Were just about to get there." Phil sent me.

"I'm close too." I sent back.

"I forgot to tell you that Dan still doesn't know you're coming."
My jaw dropped at his text.
Why the heck didn't Phil tell him?!

"You forgot or you conveniently failed to mention it to him?! You've got to be kidding me! I can't go if he doesn't know!" I was so angry at him and I was about to have the driver take me back home when he sent his next text.

"I just told him, he doesn't mind. Besides, you're practically here now, right? You might as well go. I swear it will be fun."

I sighed as we pulled up to the airport entrance. I suppose it was a bit too late, and he said Dan didn't mind.
The plan was for us to land and spend a few days in Orlando after their first show. I was excited I had never been to Florida before, only to California.

I got my things out of the boot and entered the airport and set off to find them.

Maybe Dan and I could get along, maybe even be just as good of friends as Phil and I now were.

...Or maybe not.

I saw them standing there and Dan was on his phone saying something to Phil. Phil saw me first and he grinned widely at me.

And then Dan looked up from his phone and saw Phil smiling and followed his stare to me.

Dan's mouth parted a little possibly to keep his jaw from dropping once he saw me. That confirmed to me Phil had lied and still hadn't told him.
I decided to play it cool at first to keep things from being so weird, I'd definitely talk to Phil later about this.

Dan just stared and stared even when I was standing there before them both, he looked like he might accidentally drop his phone like he had seen a ghost.

I hugged Phil tightly from not having seen him the night before due to the hectic plans this morning.

I gave Dan a smile but his face stayed blank and his eyes now flicked from me to Phil over and over, but Phil wasn't paying attention. I decided to end this, reach up and hug him, his body went tight but I continued to hug him until he fully surrendered and wrapped his arms around me.
I could tell he was breathing in the scent of my hair and his hug got tighter, that was when I broke it off.

His eyes wanted to meet mine but I looked away and at Phil who was grinning stupidly.

"Are we ready for an adventure?" Phil asked.

"I am!" I said excitedly.

"Let's do this." Dan answered.

I was happy about the fact he didn't cause a huge uproar over me coming along and him not knowing. Maybe he was going to do what I was going to do and chew Phil out later about it, or maybe he actually wanted me to come.

I soon sat in a seat on an airplane sandwich between both of them on our nine hour flight.

Phil and I ended up watching a movie together on the flight with our heads propped on each other, Dan was so far into his laptop as usual he didn't really seem to look at or pay attention to much else.

Phil eventually fell asleep though with his mouth wide open and lightly snoring as usual and I noticed Dan taking out his headphones and closing his laptop.

"So." He whispered careful not to disturb anyone else that may be also asleep on this early morning flight "how have you been and how's Petal?"

I smiled a little, of course he would ask about my dog and me in the same sentence.

"I'm good, and so is she. She's currently staying at home with Owen and his boyfriend, she got a little bigger but not much." I decided to go the route of mostly talking about my dog instead of me. "How are you?"

"I'm... Im doing alright now. I'm taking better care of myself than I was. You know I'd really like to see the cute little puff again."

"When we get back home. My door is always open." I told him.

"I'm hoping you don't mean literally, you know, that's dangerous." He made a stupid dad joke which was very unlike him, one that he would normally make fun of Phil for saying

I couldn't help but let out a chuckle though and I noticed my laugh made him smile a little. Did he just want to see me laugh.

"You know what I mean, Howell."

"So let's say it's three in the morning, can I still have in?" He asked.

"If you need someone at three in the morning then yes, my door is open."

"Is anything else open at three in the morning for me? Maybe a sofa or a bed?" He now whispered quieter than before.

"McDonald's?" I shrugged making him laugh.

"Ahh you know me so well." He said he was now fidgeting with his headphones but looking at me. He got serious again "You know what I mean (y/l/n), the ones at your flat."

Should you answer with "my bed" or "my sofa" or "what's wrong with your own bed and sofa?"
