"Go on then." He urged.

"Dan, I can't." I said terrified.

"It'll be alright." He assured me.

"Swear?"

"I swear." He replied. I took a deep breath.

"Do it do it do it." He urged.

I clicked go live and people arrived in Dan's chat in mass numbers. Dan switched on and became who he normally is when being watched by an audience, I just didn't know if I could do that.

"Hey guys! Welcome to the live show, which I am sharing with (y/n)" he then said the name of my YouTube channel shamelessly plugging it and saying how good it was.
"This is really the first time she's showing her face on the internet, right?" He asked to get me involved in this.

"I mean besides the pictures floating around." I said.

"You're consensually showing your face is what I mean." He said making me laugh.

I knew that the chat was just spamming things about mine and Dan's relationship and it was so strange to read.

"I feel like we've both touched on our relationship like her through twitter and me through past live shows, but this is really the first time that we've really decided to sit down with you about it and things." Dan told them.

"Someone asked were we met." I told him reading from the fast and constant moving chat.

"You go ahead." He told me. I felt so shy about this whole thing and he knew it, I feel like this was his way of just pushing me out of my bubble.

"Ahhh... a meeting with a bunch of other British YouTubers." I replied.

"Tell it all." He laughed.

"Dan and a few others were arguing about who I was because no one seemed to know who I was because I was anonymous, and I was sitting all alone at a table and Dan came over and started talking to me probably so he could find out who I was for them." I joked.

"No, I recognised her voice and I knew it was her." He said with a smile "Dan, weren't you a fan of hers and don't you have a painting of her art on your wall?" He read off. "I was before, yes, however she painted me it when we first got together a while ago. The reason we're just now doing this is because we feel like it just needs to be done."

"Do you guys get into disagreements?" I looked at Dan with a smile after reading.

"I mean we disagree about things like everyone does, but we don't typically fight, no. There was a time were we kind of did, but I think you learn not everything is important as long as you both are happy."

"Agreed." I said.
Dan and I had been together for over a year now, well including the months we broke up, and it had been six months since our moment in the kitchen were we told each other we wanted to be together forever which seems a little cheesy and stupid now, but it was the truth and it was real.

I glanced at the diamond ring on the desk by where the computer sat streaming the live show.
I had taken it off for the live show because in my own words "I don't want people to know about that yet." Dan seemed kind of surprised with my word choice, but agreed.
It was the first time I had actually taken it off in a while other than for showering and I knew I was fidgeting with the empty space where it normally was.

I just looked at him and watched him talk and command this whole situation beautifully making sure I was comfortable and easing into this.
Dan was good at what he did and I always found myself just watching him and Phil a lot even though I now lived with the two.
He didn't bring up anything too crazy or controversial like the fact I was nineteen or phan or anything like that, he just made the situation clear to them and moved on to other subjects while getting me involved in the conversation.
I sat there and really thought about how much respect I had for this man and how long he had been doing all of this.

When the live show ended I said goodbye and went right back to starring at him as he talked to me about how proud of me he was that I had finally done that.

"I feel like you looked at me quite a lot though." He laughed.

"I'm sure they don't blame me. I was just thinking about how good you are at that." I admitted.

"Live streaming? You'll get better. And you know that's not the only thing I'm good at." He said and wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"Oh, really now?" I said with interest. "Wait. Please tell me you're sure you've ended the live show."

He glanced at the computer screen and then back to me.

"I'm sure I've ended the live show." He said.

"Good." I said and I stood up and headed towards his bedroom door.

"Oh come on" he whined "you got me all excited."

"I didn't do anything. Maybe later though, I'm going to have a shower." I said.

"Shower sex?" He asked.

"I'm locking the bathroom door." I joked. "No, just give me a second."

After my shower, I reached for my ring which I normally leave on the counter along with my clothes, it was normally the first thing I put back on but it was t there this time. I remembered that I left it on the desk in Dan's room.
I got dressed and went back to Dan's room to see him already in his boxer briefs and a t-shirt in bed on his phone.

I looked on the desk but the ring wasn't there, I began lifting up things and looking around things and on the floor.

"Do you need help with something over there?" He asked.

"Have you seen my ring?" I asked him.

"You took it off before the live show it should still be there." He said.

"It's not." I said as I continued to look.

"Now that I think about it I didn't even see you take it off."

"I did, I swear I looked at it during the live show."

"Then you might've knocked it off." He said.

"I'm checking the floor, I don't see it." I updated him.

"Well don't worry about it right now, I'm sure it'll turn up when I finally vacuum or something."

I sighed before giving up. I turned out the light before getting into bed with Dan making a mental note to vacuum tomorrow to find it.

"It's not really a big deal anyway, if it's gone forever somehow and got sucked into a black hole then I'll just get you a new one." He said. "But I mean we'll probably be on our death beds by the time you decide to marry me and I wouldn't have the strength to get out and get you one then." He joked.

"No We won't you dummy." I scoffed and rolled over onto my side and put my head on his chest and listened to his heart rhythmically beat.

"Don't tell me your stubborn ass might change your mind before then." He said.

"I haven't changed my mind." I told him "if you don't know if you want something but then slowly over time realize that you'd like to have it, then it's not changing your mind. I never said no, I just said I didn't know."

"Oh yeah? Give me a sort of time frame here. Not that I'm rushing you, but it would just be nice to know."

"I'll leave that up to you." I told him.

"Fine then, I'll get you a new ring in let's say....... two years." He chuckled.

"Isn't that a bit long for you to wait to ask me to marry you?" I asked.

"I never said I was going to ask you, just get you a new ring." He laughed. "You wouldn't marry me anyway."

I sat up and looked at him in the dark.

"Of course I would. I can't see my life with anyone but you." I told him.

"Let's wait two years then." He gave me a grin and pulled me in for a kiss which turned into a lot more.
