Chasing Rainbows // Zach Herron

Chapter 1

Bella woke up to her phone ringing. She sat up and let her eyes adjust her room. Bright white walls with a white desk and a black computer sitting on top that sat across from her bed.

She picked up her phone to see who was calling and it was just her manager. She quickly called back not wanted to miss any opportunities to get a raise or to do more interviews.

After senior year, Bella and James both ran to LA together. They drove from Texas to LA not wanting to get rid of James' car. Once they got to LA Bella found a career in interviewing people for the 'big' magazines. She's got to interview many of celebrators, she truly loved her job.

As for Zach and Bella, they lost contact after thanksgiving. It's not that they wanted too, or anyone was fighting. They just simply lost contact. Bella always thought about Zach, she always thought about his little daughter and son, Rosey and Charles.

Emily had ended up having twins. It wasn't what she planned but she dropped them off at zach's house that night she gave birth. She ran off, never to be heard from her again. She turned to drugs and alcohol before the kids were even born. Zach always thanked god that they didn't come out drug infested.

Bella got up, taking a shower and changing into work appropriate clothes, and started off her day, of corse saying bye to James before leaving. She sat down in her black Jeep.

Here is Why Dont We, something different.

The radio speaker announced as she turned on her favorite station. She bobbed her head to the beat of song. Even though they were in contact, she was still very proud of him.

She answered her ringing phone and jumped at the sound of her manager.

"Bella! My favorite employer. Can you come in and interview a band today. We have the list of questions and topics to talk about."

"Yes of corse"
Bella's heart started to beat faster.

Everyday she hoped Why Dont We would be interviewed and that she would be able to be the one that interviews them. Bella felt horrible that they drifted apart.

After everything with Brad and Emily. Bella will stumble across the Zach's Instagram page and awe over his daughter, especially awe over the cuteness of his son.

Bella reached the dark blue building she worked in and made her way up to the fifth floor. She walked down the long colorful hallway, smiling all the way to her good sized office. She took a sniff of the clean room and exhaled while slouching down in her rolling chair.

Bella quickly logged onto her work computer and saw the listen questions she had to write out.

Bella quickly made her way to the interview room. It was burgundy with a black couch and a black stood. The floor was white and it was just a cool room. The colors made Bella relax, even if it seems pretty dark. The couched in the room were spread out enough so there was room for a lot of people.

This room was always Bella's favorite place to do interviews. She loved the environment of her job. She smiled and quickly checked her face on her camera. She made sure her lipstick was covering the right spots and not random parts. She made sure her small winged eyeliner was matching.

She took a couple deep breaths and heard the large heavy metal door open. She quickly turned her head to the side to see the camera man Mike. She waved at Mike as he gawked at her. Ever since she started to work here, Mike began to feel in love with her. They dated for a couple weeks and then broke up. He'd always stare at her, ask her uncomfortable questions, try to get her to do uncomfortable things, and follow her home. Maybe he didn't mean harm, but he wasn't very nice to anyone.

"They should be here any minute"
He said coldly looking at Bella, trying to keep his eyes up on her face.

She felt uncomfortable and shy. She just nodded her head in response. He sat there in front of her and just stared.

"Please stop"
Bella whined to him as he continued to do what she hated.

"You're so beautifu-"
Mike started to say but was cut off by the manager coming into the room with the group of five boys.

"Here they are, Why Dont We"
Bella's manager said smiling.

She smiled and stood up.

"Hello, my name is Bella. Can we get you anything to drink, eat?"

"A coffee would be nice"
Jonah said. She glanced at Jonah and smirked, knowing he was going to say that. She wondered if the boys recognized her or even knew who she was.

A coffee was brought in for Jonah and they all took a seat on the couches. Mike gave Bella the signal to start the interview.

"Hey guys, it's me Bella here at Star Incorporated. I'm here with the band Why Dont We"
She said trying to focus on the camera. She didn't want to distract herself too much by trying to give the boys a look.

She turned her self to the side and finally got a good look at Zach. He was still skinny, his hair was a little shorter, and he had a couple tattoos scattered around his arms. She smiled at them and continued on with the interview.

Zach on the other hand was secretly dying knowing he was in the same room as Bella. He missed her so much, he felt bad that he didn't text or call. He wanted to, but never found the time too.

After the interview was done, each person walked out of the room and into the little hang out area. Zach quickly took the seat next to Bella and turned to her.

"I fucking missed you so much Isabella Lopez"

Bella turned to the side and looked shocked, but more content with the fact he remembered her. All the boys stared in awe and each looked shocked to see her. She couldn't think of what else to say, but what she's been wanting to say for a while.

"I missed you too Zachary Herron."
