Back in Texas, Bella's old friend, Vanessa, was getting married to no other than the horrific guy named Brad. Vanessa knew everything Brad has done, frankly she didn't care. Of corse, people do change. But do they really? Brad and Vanessa were on their third child.

They began having kids at age seventeen. Bella knew Vanessa was pregnant, but never knew who the father was. It made sense that Vanessa didn't want to tell her 'best friend' due to the abuse that Brad had given Bella from the time at that party until graduation day.

Vanessa gave Brad a horrific look and hung up the phone with her hand covering her mouth. "What was it?" Brad had asked his soon to be wife. "Mikes in jail" Vanessa said as she fell to her knees, crying.

What Bella didn't know was that Mike was Brads very troubled cousin who'd happen to get in touch with Brad and Vanessa within a couple of years. And what Brad and Vanessa didn't know was that Mike was in a very abusive relationship with the girl who 'ran away' or the 'victim'.

"Why is he there?" Brad said calmly while grabbing Vanessa's arms. "He broke into a house, basically beat a girl, harassed her and I think her child or someone's child." Vanessa rambled. "Well then, we will go to LA and bail him out. We'll bring here and make him live with us, make him get help" Brad said sounding convincing. "No, not around my kids" she looked up at Brad with her barely bruised face and mascara running down her face.

"I didn't ask you, Vanessa. I'm telling you that, that's what we are going to do." Brad said roughly, letting go of her arm making her fall a little bit more. Vanessa sighed and rubbed her stomach. "What if he hurts me, us?" She said rubbing her stomach. "I'll kill him myself" Brad said getting up walking to their computer.

Vanessa and Brad lived in a mansion. They were rich, but they didn't work. How could this be, you may ask. Their money comes from the citizens in Texas who pay tons of money for drugs. Sadly, Vanessa got herself caught up in it without a way to escape. "Brad, we shouldn't spend our money" she said worriedly. She didn't want to be caught up with the federal government. "Too bad, Vanessa. Our kids can stay at my moms house for a week." He said looking at the tickets.

Vanessa put her hand on her stomach, rubbing it out of a nervous habit. "Maybe we're making a mistake." She said softly. Brad got up placing his two very large hands on her face. "We're making the best decisions of our lives" he said plopping a kiss on her lips. "I promise you"
