"Outside!" I called, running up in my approach and hitting the ball with ease and made it in.

"Nice one, Ange!" Jacob shouted from the line.

I ran to get my ball and saw Sun grab his.

"I think Jacob hit his head or something." I said, walking next to Sun.

"Why do you say that?" He asks.

"Because he just shouted something nice to me. He's been doing it since we left for the tournament." I said. "You think he's an imposter?"

Sun laughed and patted my shoulder.

"I'm sure he's just finally warming up to you. It's probably because of the team sleepovers we had before we left, remember?" Sun said.

I toss my ball to a teammate who needed it and think back to those nights.

"Yeah, I guess so." I mumbled.

I followed Sun up the steps to his apartment and glanced around carefully. He looked at me weird.

"They're not setting up pranks against you just because you're the first girl to join our team." He assured.

"I never said I was looking for any pranks. I'm just admiring how wonderful this light bulb looks!" I said quickly.

To be frank, I was concerned I'd get pranked or something would happen to me tonight because I'm a girl on a boys team.

"You said it yourself, you get along better with guys than girls." He reminded.

"I'd still feel better if you walked in first. Just in case?" I laugh nervously.

"Fine." He groaned, dropping his bags by the door.

Sun walked in and immediately was drenched with ice water. Guy's laughter filled the air and came to halt when they all came to the door and realized who they actually pranked.

"Dude, you said she'd walk in first, not the captain!" One said, tossing the bucket behind him.

"Sorry, Sun, we thought—"

"I don't wanna hear it." Sun growled and walked in.

"Awe, c'mon man. It was just a prank!" Jacob shouted after him down the hall.

I was about to grab his bags when Jacob stopped me.

"I'll get them. The least I can do to get his respect back to me." He said.

I nodded and followed behind him inside, closing the door behind me. I looked around Sun's apartment. I realized this was my first time in here even though he's come over to my place countless times. He had lights strung up on the wall in the living room, a Christmas tree nearby that had multicolored lights on it, and a couch with a coffee table between it and the tv. Kyle came into the room from the hallway and waved.

"Hey, Angie." He greeted.

"Hey, Kyle! Do you know where I can put my bags?"

"Yeah, this way." He motioned me to follow him down the hall.

He opened a door and I walked in, setting my bags down on an open space on the bed.

"Is this Sun's room?" I asked, looking around.

"Yup. You might have his room while we sleep in the living room." He said.

"Are you guys sure?"
