Faint footsteps sound from the end of a hallway, slowly getting closer to a cell. The tall man slows to a stop once he's a about more than halfway down the hall of cells and faces the woman inside. Her hard eyes glare daggers at the man she once trusted and has turned into a monster now. He crouched down to her level and slides her food plate of disgusting slush that was not a normal color towards her.

She grabbed the plate hesitantly and slid it towards her body. Her hand grasped the edge of it and flung it at the bars, getting some of the dark murky slush on the man's face and part of the bars. Kicking the plate away, she leans back and sits against the stone wall.

"If you don't eat, you won't have your strength." He said gently.

She stayed silent and looked away. It's been the same act since she was brought here. He stood up gracefully with the plate and started walking away with a huff until he stopped himself mid slip from falling. His leg extended as he tried to to prevent slipping any farther. He lifted his boot once he grounded himself and frowned at the slush catching the woman smirk in the corner of his eye.

"You'll learn your lesson soon enough." He said sternly.

"You've been saying that, but haven't done a thing to me yet." She sighed.

"That's because—" He cut himself off.

It was silent for a small moment before she spoke up.

"Part of you still loves me under all the bad." She mumbled.

"You're wrong." He growled.

"There's no denying that part of my husband, the one I married, is still in you." She looked up at the man watching him step closer.

"No."

"You can feel him trying to break free, huh?" She stood up, her fingers laced around the bars.

"Stop." He mumbled.

"What's wrong? Afraid the innocent man inside you will break free?" Maria took her hands away from the bars.

He stayed silent, almost shaking his fists hearing her continue. Something clicked in his head, as if pushing him towards her.

"Maybe if you—"

"Shut up!" He shouted, stepping away. "Just be quiet, woman!"

She stared at him as if she was analyzing everything about him to find a flaw to reel out while he was still acting this way. His hands covered his ears and with his back to Marie. Her gaze stayed on him watching his next move. Keys clinked at his pants pocket and she steps towards the bars again.

"Why bring me here?" She asked softly.

He sighed facing away from her still so she wouldn't see the real expression he had to that question.

"I need her to come." He replied.

"And you think using me as bait will make her come here? For what?" Her eyes glance around the cell after the twentieth time since she was thrown in here.

"I don't know, but it's worth a try." He shrugged, turning to meet her gaze the second she averted her eyes away.

"She won't see you." Marie said bluntly.

He nods silently, accepting more and more of his cruel fate to come once his daughter and the turtles find their way here.

"I know, but..." he hesitated.

"You want her to know the truth." She said quietly, finishing his sentence.

"The real truth is what I want her to know. Why I became who I am. Why I did the things I did... I just want her to understand why." He sighed.
