"Be quiet or they'll hear you." Ty whispered.

I grabbed his wrist and twisted his arm around pushing him against the tree instead. My head peeked over and I saw a couple of the guys stop and look around.

"If they catch you with me they'll start asking questions." I whispered.

"Oh, like how they're already going to be asking questions on why you're running towards the danger?" He glanced at me and I pushed his face back into the trunk.

"It doesn't make a difference. They wouldn't understand." I looked down. "We've been twiddling our thumbs for days and I can't sit here waiting anymore."

"Andgoingstraighttoyourfatheralonewill?"

I took my hand away to repeat what he said since it was muffled and spoke too quick for me to understand him.

"Sorry, what?" I let him go.

"I said: believing in going straight to your father alone will fix this?" He repeated.

I glanced around seeing Raph come closer to where we were. Ty followed my gaze and I looked down.

"If it means saving my mom and keeping anyone else from getting hurt by my father, then yes." I held my arms as he stared at me.

His eyes narrowed slightly and he sighed, looking behind him and tossed my bag at me. He must've grabbed it.

"What are you doing?" He walked away from the bush.

"You wouldn't be doing this if you didn't have a plan, right?" He looked behind at me.

"Of course." I nodded glancing around us.

Mikey stood by Raph and they looked around, possibly barely hearing our conversation. I had no clue where Leo had gone, but I knew he was close by with Donnie.

"Then I can buy you a bit of time. There's a truck a few clicks north from here. The keys are in the middle console and it's got a full tank. If you stay on this highway you came here on, you should reach Manhattan within the next hour." He handed me a folded piece of paper.

"That's great and all, but why are you helping me?" I opened the paper and saw an address scribbled on there.

"Because I know you, Angel. The real you. I know when you put your mind to something there's no way of changing it, and most of the time it works out." He shrugged and folded my hand over the paper dropping an envelope with something bulky inside. "Just promise me something before you go."

I glanced at my hand and back at him seeing something. Something that made my instincts kick in to high gear.

"What?" I asked.

"Don't be mad at what I'm about to do." He said clearly.

"Wh-why? What are you going to d—" I cut myself off seeing a syringe in his hands as he took a step towards me.

My eyes widened and I backed away carefully, only to trip on a large tree root and falling on my butt. I scoot away and catch Mikey and I making eye contact for a second when I sprinted off, Ty and him right on tail.
