Chapter 5: First battle

Ace walked out of Bradtiel and started to go where he saw the hole of the dungeon but he was stopped by 3 players, all of them humans. They were wearing hoods so Ace couldn't see their faces, but also they were using daggers so he could guess that they were assassins, they were wearing leather armors and iron boots.
The assassins stopped Ace and aimed at his throat.
-Assassin 1: Where you obtained those crazy cheats you are using? Teleporting so quick is impossible.
-Ace: I am using Void Knight's skills.
-Assassin 2: It can't do that!
-Ace: It can. Only you need training.
-Assassin 3: Kill him. He won't tell us!
-Ace: So it's like this.
Ace unsheated his sword and put his left foot a half step forward, his right foot a half step back aimed the tip of his sword at the assassins. One assassin moved forward to hit Ace with his daggers but Ace did a pirouette and placed himself behind the enemy and slashed his back with a brave slash and hitted the back 3 times.
-Assassin 2: After him!
The other two assassins attacked him but Ace did a backflip and avoided the attack of the assassins and they stabbed the other assassin and Ace thrusted his sword catching two of them and killing them.

The last one tried to escape but Ace used Wink to get closer.
-Ace: Who sent you?
-Assassin 3: Like I'll tell you!
-Ace: Well. I can make sure that you suffer. Tell me.
-Assassin 3: The Blue Hand! The Blue Hand sent me!
-Ace: I am a newbie so... Who is The Blue Hand?
-Assassin 3: A great small guild! 50 players! But they are strong!
-Ace: Compare me to them. Let's check their power.
The assassin looked at Ace and smiled.
-Assassin 3: You are just a lamb compared to them.
-Ace: Well, thanks.
-Assassin 3: Now you leave me live?
-Ace: Huh!? I don't plan to do that! I cannot allow loose ends with powerful teams!
Ace stabbed the assassin and left his sword in the assassin's body until he died
-Ace: Not yet. I did two mistakes. I should have deflected and decapitated the first enemy, later wink in front of the other two, stab one to death, backflip, cut the other assassin's left hand and interrogate him. Still, as my teacher said: I passed.
Ace decided to do more quests before going to the dungeon, because he remembered that for doing the quest alone, he needed twice the level he had. Also if he was being followed he should try to not go alone.

Ace's POV:
The Blue Hand? A small guild going after me, what a mess. Still if they think I'll join, they are wrong! Like I'd join to a guild with such bad name.
But still I have to be careful, so staying quiet for a while is perfect first step. Second step is to search information about them. Third step: Seek and Destroy.
Any loose end I have means a new trouble, and my plan is to avoid troubles.
And like always my luck is my worst enemy.
Ace POV end.

Ace was walking to Bradtiel and saw a blonde girl that looked like a PSY trying to avoid a fight against several members of a guild, since they were wearing an emblem in their armors that was a blue hand. And they seemed level 10-20. There were 3 members of that guild, a dragon who was a lancer, human who was a warrior and an elf who was a mage. They saw Ace and smiled.
The elf stopped Ace.
-Elf: Stop right there, Void Knight! You will come with us and give us all your equipment.
-Girl: Don't put him in this!
-Ace: Are you sure that your next step is the right one? I wanted to not attract any kind of bad attention but my luck is a bad companion as usually.
-Elf: 3 of us versus a newbie? Easy win.
-Ace: Are you really sure?
-Elf: After him!
The three members of the guild attacked Ace but he stopped the javelin with the Elf's body and killed him, later the warrior charged against him but Ace put his left foot a half step back and parried the hit. With a good grip of the ground he pushed the warrior away and while the warrior was about to fall, Ace stabbed him with his sword in the face. The dragon recovered his lance but the blonde girl teleported behind him and hitted with her palm.
-Blonde: AIR DRAGON STANCE: GALE PALM!

The dragon was sent up to the sky with a hole in his torso. Ace looked amazed at that girl. She seemed way too strong. Now he could see her very well, she had long blonde hair, blue eyes, a pale face. She was wearing a white cloth armor with some iron parts around her chest and shoulders, a pair of white gloves and a necklace with a star engraved on it.
-Blonde: (sighs) I wanted to have a peaceful day. But well like master Alvyn said: Yesterday is in the past, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. Even if we don't like today's gift, we have to accept it. Which is your name, potential friend?
-Ace: Call me Ace. I know of Alvyn thanks to my teacher. So you are his student?
-Blonde: (blush) So you knew...
-Ace: I only guessed. You are pretty strong! But I do not have the pleasure to know your name, miss...?
-Nina: Nina, that's my name. Who is your sensei?
-Ace: Zero. The blue flash.
Nina looked at Ace surprised and did not know how to react.
-Ace: I know that my teacher is a Dev.
-Nina: The blue flash himself trained you! The strongest of all Devs!
-Ace: That's a lie. There's one stronger.
-Nina: Who!?
-Ace: "Randomizer" Beat. His art can instakill anything.
-Nina: Yeah but it is way too random.
-Ace: Care to go with me for some quests?
-Nina: No thanks.
-Ace: Then accept my friend request. And see you someday.
Ace sent to Nina a friend request and she accepted it. Ace left to the guild building to get a quest worth of his time. But also he checked his own level now, thanks to defeating those assassins and the thugs that were bothering Nina, he was at lv 16.
